I like Fisichella but I do think he was quite soundly beaten by Alonso - I did a piece on it a short while ago. Though you would have expected him to get closer to Alonso's pace in 2006, having spent a year at Renault, it seems he didn't...

But I'm sorry to see some of the old hands go - especially Montoya and Villeneuve - they're much more outspoken than you expect these rookies to be (but give Kovalainen his due - he's actually quite funny!)

Rookies, rookies, rookies........I can't stand them although everyone has to be one ONCE! McLaren botched a good chance, they should have used de la Rosa's EXPERIENCE this year while Renault and BMW were breaking in their rookies. McLaren lost that advantage instead opting to introduce their INVESTMENT.
Rookies, even good ones just don't score points. Not enough.
(clipped from above) "Fisichella - who was soundly thrashed by Alonso....." This is the negative media at work, Fisi might not be an Alonso but he was 4th in the drivers standings and without him Renault would not have won the constructors. I wonder if old Flav ever said 'Thank You'?
He's not written off yet and frankly who's better for 4th?
MAYBE Button.......maybe. If anyone has EARNED his rookie stripes (as opposed to those who have merely been given the chance) Davidson has got my vote and he works well with Sato. Unfortunately the Super Aguri car (and maybe the entire team) needs another year or two development.
19 days and counting.....................
