Darren Turner has been thrown out of the results of the third race at Brands Hatch on Sunday after being found guilty of causing an avoidable accident with Colin Turkington.

The clash between the pair at Clearways forced Turkington out of the race. Seat’s appeal was rejected and Turner was given four points on his licence.

The decision actually benefits Turner’s team mate Jason Plato, whose advantage at the top of the drivers table grows to nine points over Matt Neal.
