Singapore will be the 800th Grand Prix to be included as part of the Formula 1 World Championship. It will be the 300th race for the Silverstone team (the sum total of the Jordan, Midland, Spyker and Force India races).

This year also marks the fifth anniversaries for two of the Asian races, namely Shanghai and Bahrain. Both been around longer than I thought, both totally unremarkable. Hopefully the new Asian races, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, New Delhi and Korea, will be better than these.

USA 05 really did mess up all the stats didnt it :P

A few Williams stats that you missed Keith :D

Williams could get there 300th podium if they get 5 this year (maybe unlikely)

Frank will surpass Enzo Ferrari this year as the longest-enduring world championship entrant

Some time this year (unless the reliablity is really really poor) they should record their 50,000th lap :D

The BMW turbo engine was supplied to teams other than Brabham. I don't know if that means they did more races.

BMW actually first had an engine in F1 in 1952. Later it returned with Brabham to power Nelson Piquet to the drivers' championship with its 1.5 litre turbo in 1983. And then they came back in 2000 as you said. BMW-engined cars have started 235 separate races.

BMW will achieve its 150th presence at a GP since (re-?)entering the sport with Williams (2000) at this year's Hungarian GP. It's 150th race start will be at Valencia, due to the Michelin-led withdrawal at Indy 2005. This is arguable though, because of both Williams-BMW's being disqualified from the Canadian GP in '03 or '04, in which case they will reach the milestone at Spa.

Is it wrong that I am really interested in stuff like this?
A record for this year will probably be "Most mentions of Lewis Hamilton's name" after he walks into the Melbourne paddock...
