One of the things to consider is wheelbase. One of the reason for the relative performance last year was that Ferrari had a significantly longer wheel base than McLaren making the car more suitable in the faster circuits with longer corners. This year Ferrari have reduced their wheel base and McLare in common with more or less everyone else has increased theirs so circuit type should be less of a factor.

Ferrari reducing the wheelbase of their car will not necessarily improve it over the bumps. That needs suspension engineering improvements. Of course the FIA as part of their openess policy told everyone about McLaren's J damper so no doubt by now Ferrari have one of those.

I think Heidfeld and Kubica will be a pain for Ferrari and McLaren. They might not make a run for the title, but they will surely get themselves in the middle of important Hamilton-Kimi-Massa fights, and we know they don't give a dead rat's ass about who's fighting for the title. Not to mention Alonso, who will be delighted to hold some guys behind his Renault as long as he can, whenever he can.
