Why should Red Bull be punished. After all they never finish races and last year due to their car the highest points they got was 14. Red Bull should not be punished for crashing why? Because they’re one of the worst teams ( no offense ) so there should be less penatlies during qualifying and practices for the worse teams. Although they should be punished during the race. :0

The red bull car is always in the headlines. There is always something wrong with it. To be fair coulthard and webber never finish a race. Drivers fault or cars fault?

Incidents like DC has had lately should only solidify the driver’s input to safety of car/track/conditions/weather etc.think of the effect these to shunts would have had on a "newby like Piquet or Nakpjamas.
This only enforces Jackie Stewart satatement as to why The Ham has not joined GPDA as he is to busy doing media.Drivers are the boss when it comes to safety.
DC has input this yr and warns of SNAFU first wet race no traction control or engine braking.
Being the oldest driver and more F1 starts than anyone in the feild,I feel sure he would not step in a car that’s unsafe/
This incident is nothing more than a tie rod breaking in your car or a ball joint going South,nothin more than a "Hicup" at the start of a new season.
Perhaps the cars should destuct leaving only the monocule @ a shunt with certain impact level,look at Kubica in Montreal last yr the ride he went through.
Time to join the Union and pay your dues Mr Hamilton.You only get a free ride in rookie season.

I must say I was quite surprised when I heard on the Kangaroo TV radio in Australia during Friday practice that Red Bulls just passed their crash test … There was obviously something not exactly right with their car. The easy break up of DCs car after the Massa incident and yesterday in Malaysia is not too much in line with the confidence Horner displayed in interviews yesterday …

perhaps look again @ vidoe-see that curb sticks up quite high and has square edge contour to it.
Apparently the glue may need some "crazy" in it for qualifying.

Wow that car collapsed really easily. I guees that is probably due to a particular malfunction or faulty piece more than to a misconception of the whole car.

I must admit, I did find it odd how DC’s car just disintergrated after the incident with Massa and thought that the car must have been fragile for that to happen.

Does not bode well for the Bull that is Red this season

Having had a second look the right wheel on it’s tether jumps over the car body and the downward force of the impact rip’s the left off – fragile !!

I must say when i saw the DC – Massa crash I immediatly thought it was strange how DC’s suspension broke…seems as tough I was right…
In a way it indeed is safer in case of a collision, when you get in the air and it breaks, you can’t be lauched by your wheel…
but it’s not ideal no

wow, incredible!… so strange!

well, Keith, Planet-f1.com review of the Australian race showed some worries about F1 cars’ fragility… Many cars had troubles without having a big crash… Strangely Massa’s Ferrari following Coulthard crash could continue.

But this somehow dissapoints me. In fact, it’s a bigger problem than i might think. First because imagine how confident Coulthard and Webber can be now that they know the suspension can be so fragile. I bet David was looking at the car after the crash thinking: "what the hell happened there???"

Also. How aggresive can you be while overtaking another driver if the cars explode into pieces every time it slightly touches another car?? and how hard can you keep your position if you know that you could be out of the race and loose your potential points finish if the other car touches you?

it might sound stupid but that’s what i think… The drivers needs to be soooo sure they will overtake the car in front that they need to wait all the race to do it… it’s quite frustrating…

you have to look at the safety reasons too, that kind of crash should be dangerous for everyone…

In qually Webber had a bad crash when a brake rotor exploded. This could have been alot worse then it was as he missed hitting the wall close to him on the left hand side and gradually came to a stop.

If you brake rotors and suspension are failing on short runs on a fairly smooth track, what does that say about there reliablity….. On the other hand the STR’s had problems unrelated to the design of the car.

I havent seen the crash (Im at work and they block all video sights) but if teather broke that should be reason enough to keep the car off the track. What it the teather failed on Kubica last year, it could have launched a tire into the crowd not to mention what it can do to the driver….

Yup, torn completely off the car. Shouldn’t that have stayed on? I mean, it was a pretty big off, but it wasn’t as big as, say, Kubica’s in Canada.
