Kubica takes maiden win as Hamilton hits Raikkonen 8th June 2008, 22:17
Lewis Hamilton slammed into the back of Kimi Raikkonen in the pits which let Robert Kubica in to score the first win for himself and BMW.
Robert Kubica has become the first Polish driver to win a Formula 1 Grand Prix after taking victory in today’s Canadian Grand Prix. Kubica was followed home by team mate Nick Heidfeld giving BMW both their first victory and first one-two as a full Formula 1 constructor.
The Canadian Grand Prix took an astonishing twist as Lewis Hamilton eliminated himself and championship rival Kimi Raikkonen in a pit lane crash.
