Felipe Massa now leads the F1 drivers’ championship for the first time in his career.

It’s also the first time a Brazilian driver has led the championship in 15 years, since Ayrton Senna topped the table after the 1993 Monaco Grand Prix. There was more good news for another Brazilian driver, Nelson Piquet Jnr, who finally scored his world championship points.

Ferrari, who dominated today’s race, now have a 17 point lead over BMW in the constructors’ championship.
