Nico Hülkenberg finished first on the road in the F3 Euroseries feature race at Zandvoort. With championship rival Edoardo Mortara spinning out. Hülkenberg was poised to take the lead in the title race.

But Hülkenberg was sensationally stripped of his win after stewards found his car 3kg under the 540kg minimum weight limit – a surprising mistake from the multiple championship-winning ART squad.

His disqualification handed victory in yesterday’s race to Mika Maki, with Jules Bianchi second and Sam Bird third. Niall Breen is promoted to eighth and thus starts the second race from pole position, alongside Robert Wickens.
