After so many exciting ones this year already, this was complete bogus..boring and all the negative compliments from my side. Apart from lovely pace from Lewis Hamilton and that accident of Glock there was hardly anything in the race to remember.
But of course the man who gained most is Picquet, with Renault already planning one stopper strategy, Glock did a perfect timing for him to promote him in the race lead! Great last 3 laps though for him to keep Massa's hope of P2 at bay.
By the way was that "Team Order" from McLaren to Kovi to let Ham pass? When Ham was stuck behind him, Ron was seen having a talk to someone. Was it Ham or was it Kovi or some other?

In honesty, he's no faster than Kimi was in Magny-Cours, where only Massa could attempt to keep up with him, until his engine problems happened.

Well, if those who you wanted to do well---as far as finishing place---did well, then it was a great race. But being only able to follow it via F-1's live commentary, the race was just another parade. The only `planned' race-related excitement was seeing who pitted when. Boring, boriing, boring.

Off topic, what magic spell has been woven to make Hamilton suddenly so much faster than everyone else---including his team-mate. Could it be that there's a bit of cheating going on? Don't know, but as an admitted non-expert, that seems to be the only logical explanation.

Fantastic race. McLaren made a dodgy call, but given the wear LH has on the soft compound, probably the right one (remember China!). Good job by Piquet for keeping his head after being gifted a great track position following Glock's huge shunt. To keep pace with Massa's Ferrari showed good nerve and should silence the calls for Renault to boot him. Massa demonstrated his good speed as a driver, but again shown he isn't a racer. Kimi was a major disappointment all weekend. The car looked very unbalanced all weekend, but his second to last lap of 1:16.3 showed the pace was there somewhere, shame he couldn't have found it more consistently. This weekend saw the end of his run of fasted laps.

Thanks for hosting the chat to Keith and all the good work by the other mods. Beats shouting at the telly on my own ;)

What was that? Why did Nelson Piquet let Lewis by so easily? What the hell is this, Champ Car?

Serves that mind bogglingly arrogant Spaniard just about right! Nelson in 2nd place with Alonso being overtaken more than once by Raikkonen and Vettel. Really loved it. Lets see if Piquet makes any comments about both team members being able to contribute to the points!
