People talk about Mansell’s bad luck while being Piquet’s team-mate but Piquet lost a championship-winning victory in 1986. And then, bar the championship, it happened again in ’87!

Not sure, Scott. Maybe, maybe not. But given how bad the Senna-Prost relationship had deteriorated at that point, I think Prost was already having talks with Maranello by then.

I loved that battle between Prost and Mansell in 1989, Did they know they were going to be team mates for the following year at that time?

Great articles, I’m really enjoying them, can’t wait for the concluding part.

On a side note, what’s with the recent trend of putting the whole article on the home page rather than just the title and a snippet?, it makes the normally clean looking front page a little messy!!
