  1. Suzuka is a more difficult venue, but Fuji just produced a good dry race too.

  2. Any news on the Massa/Bourdais investigation?

  3. Will post here when I find out Paul.

  4. Fantastic race, much better than I was expecting. Plenty of action and excitement.

  5. Does anyone know why the incident Massa/Bourdais will be investigated after the race?
    I dont understand why…

  6. Typical lash-up to benefit Massa., There’s no way Sebastian deserved a penalty. Once again a very convenient way for the FIA to inject alledged ‘excitement’ into the drivers’ championship. Impartial stewards….pah…don’t make me laugh.

  7. The race was fine, but the ITV coverage of the race was appaling as the Japense directors left us watching ‘toyota’ and ‘honda’ cars instead of the championship fight between Massa and Hamilton. It was incredibly frustrating, especially when the full list of race positions were rarely displayed.

As for the Grand Prix, we again see the example of the FIA kissing the red shiny backside of Ferrari. The race was farcical. I leave you with one question, is the formula 1 grand prix turning into the Eurovision song contest?

  8. Terrible Race for those reasons:

    1-Bad Circuit.(Susuka is much better).
    2-FIA Favoring Ferrari again.
    3-Massa-Bourdias incident is ridiculous.
    4-Hamilton bad start.
    5-Hieki engine.
6-DC crashing in his third to the last race. (I would love to see him in the podium).

It was a another day where we witnessed the Ferrari International Assistance in action in a bad circuit.

  9. 6 – Not Bad

The first lap incidents led to an interesting battle for the win but there was a lack of overtaking.

Not a great deal of racing on view.

The Bourdais penalty seems a little harsh and will inevitably lead to more accusations of FIA bias. As ever I lean towards incompetence on the part of the officials rather than any conspiracy.

  10. Rabi,

If Lewis hadn’t of blown it into the first corner it would have led to another procession, I’ve just watched the race and while it was OK it was far from being a classic.

The interest is all about the eventual winner & the fact that the leaders in the championship were in the midfield.

Absolutely spot on mate… couldn’t have said it better myself!

  13. 1/10 – Terrible. More steward stupidity, more post-race Massa self-righteousness, no rain, not Suzuka.

Congrats Fernando on your second win on the trot.

  14. I voted terrible.

Never seen anyone given a penalty for out braking themself entering the first corner, and I’ve seen it happen, oh, about 1000 times.

When Massa rammed Hamilton after travelling across the grass to do so, and never received the sane expendiance in penalty as everyone else would, I was waiting for the fix.
Massa’s ridiculous comments after the race re. Seb B. and FIA penalties just ruined what should be an enjoyable past time. Don’t know if I want to bother anymore after this years rubbish.

  15. I voted 6 for not bad.

Beneboy is correct in that the opening corner battle with Lewis in the thick of things led to nearly all of the other excitement on the day. When both Hamilton and Massa got pushed down the field, it created a bunch of overtaking opportunities that would have not been there without the incident.

Aside from the start, we had another race marred by the stewards and their now-undeniable Ferrari bias. It was interesting to see Alonso win, but Massa again picks up points that could help decide the championship. Bad deal all around….
