Great trip down memory lane. I was a huge McLaren fan then (they’re generally my team, going back to when Bruce McLaren was running things and they were in Gulf Orange) and was delighted when Senna joined them.

Is interesting to recall that even back then, the race stewards took a while to make a decision and act….

Berger WAS young in 1988. I think he aged a lot in 1989 when his Ferrari kept failing on him. He didn’t score points until very late in the season that year.

Berger was still young in 1988. I think he started aging in 1989, when his horrid reliability meant he couldn’t score a point with the Ferrari until very late in the season.
