Nelson Piquet Jnr appeared in Sao Paulo, Brazil to round off Renault’s series of F1 roadshows. He entertained the crowd with a demonstration in an R27.

Renault’s roadshows has visited Johannesburg (South Africa), Rotterdam (The Netherlands), Kiev (Ukraine), Lisbon (Portugal) and New Delhi (India) this year. With Red Bull cutting its Red Bulletin magazine and BMW’s Pit Lane Park rumoured to be being dropped, I hope these shows continue in 2009.

Here’s a selection of pictures from the Sao Paulo event.

hey did they change their colour scheme??

That girl, alongside Nelson at the first shot is a Brazilian named Bia Figueiredo (she is racing at Indy lights).

Pay attention to her! She is far better than the over hyped Danica Patrick. I saw her racing at Interlagos in Southamerican F3 and she was fantastic.

Colour scheme looks different, yes. Is that a proper 2009 front wing in some of the pictures?

  4. Carlitos – No, they’re just old cars. The one at the top is really quite old could be around 2002 I think? Looks fat compared to the modern model. The car he drove appears to be a 2007 R27.
