Here are some more (and much better!) pictures from the Donington Park 2010 track simulator that give a clearer impression of what the track will be like in 2010.
These images are from a simulation of the track built in rFactor which will be made available next week. They show several parts of the track including the start/finish area, Craner Curves, Old Hairpin and more.
Thanks to Carl for the tip

Looks nice, although they don’t give much of an overview of the track. Could you get some more zoomed-out pics?

looks like old pics to me, what are those grooved tyres doing in 2010? :-)

Grooved tyres are because they’ve just taken a car from rfactor :-P
I see the pitlane is on the right handside as supposed to the left. Am i right in saying that are moving the pit straight so the first corner is the hairpin?

Take peek at this site.
It has the tracks Master Plan, so you can see the layout of the F1 proposed Circuit

And Yup, the Hairpin is going to be the first corner…should be fun, all arriving at 200mph……lol.

Interesting. I really hope it all works out and Herman Tilke is banned from absolutely every aspect of this project. Lets hope it provides good F1 racing too.
Does anyone know if the track can accommodate different racing or track layout configurations for different racing series?

I think you’re out of luck Chaz… all the renovation work is being done by Tilke GmbH, so say all the plans in the PDF’s Anonymouse linked to in the comment above.
However, the track does seem to have 4 possible layouts as seen here: http://www.donington-park.co.uk/files/pdf/master_plan.pdf
Grand Prix Circuit
Short Grand Prix Circuit (without melbourne loop and new infield)
West Circuit (using old pitlane)
East Circuit (using new pitlane)

I dont know why they have to mess with the circuit layout at all. Leave it as it is with the melbourne hairpin.

”These images are from a simulation of the track built in rFactor which will be made available next week.” From January 7th… so where is the download link for it?
