Poor Force India. This really was looking good for them and then the crash. At least the reigning world champ, who was behind him, wasn’t responsible this time as was the situation in Monaco last year.

If you’d asked Vijay Mallya at the start of the year if he’d like to be tied with Ferrari in the constructors’ championship after three rounds I’m sure he’d have said yes – but this probably isn’t what he had in mind.

This made me laugh though!

Will Sutil get picked up by a big team? I think he would be a good fit for Renault until the end of the season, can’t believe they aren’t thinking of cutting their losses on Piquet Jr.

yes buy lots because thats how the force india team keep afloat with the beer money. And Luizzi has gone by the way off to race for real, after the frustrations of being in the wings for so long. Lets hope for a sand storm in Bahrain, then they may get some points…

The conditions out there were tough for everyone- it was just a case of bad luck for Sutil.

As for Sutil’s performance compared to Fisi, I have wondered for some time about the internal politics at FI, meaning do they favor Sutil over Fisi or perhaps vice-versa. Sutil always seems to be winning the teammate battles, even when it comes to P19 vs. P20 in quali, so perhaps Giancarlo starts in a bit of a hole.

I can’t see Fisi sticking around past this year, and some of the reports I have read state that Liuzzi is already on tap to replace him. Makes you wonder if Vijay will ever get an Indian driver in one of his cars….

Sutil unfortunate to crash? Isn’t that more down to dumb tactics combined with driver error?

This year’s full wets don’t last very long, yet Sutil tries to run a 36 lap stint on them and then decides he can actually start pushing on them too (well he probably had to push because he was threatened from behind by several cars).

Forgive me if I got this wrong, but had Sutil finished in 4th place at Monaco last year, wasn’t there a penalty waiting for him that would’ve negated those points anyway?
