Only five people correctly guessed Sebastian Vettel as the winner
Chua, Toby Bushby, mar-E-o, Nayanesh and STRFERRARI4EVER have taken an early lead in the F1 Fanatic Predictions Championship.
But it was a low-scoring first round and the championship is wide open heading into the Bahrain Grand Prix this weekend. Here’s the standings so far.

The season so far
We have a five-way tie for first with Chua, Toby Bushby, mar-E-o, Nayanesh and STRFERRARI4EVER all on 25 points.
On his own in sixth place with 20 is Eduardo Colombi. And then we have 10 people in seventh on 15: Raceaddict, symmetry, zerogee, Alex-Ctba, Gwenouille, cuvy, Taypicala, JackB, Jason and Stats.
But with 14 rounds to go, 210 people competing so far and 840 points still to be won it’s wide open for now.

Hey, that’s not exactly correct. Mr. FLIG here had Vettel as the winner too. I didn’t get anything else right, but you can say 6 people correctly guessed Vettel as the winner. Welcome, my first 10 points.
I predicted Button on the podium and i didn’t take any points and my name is not on that list. Please add me there soon as possible because i am aiming for the grand prize
I had Vettel on for Pole and the win, Barrichello 2nd and Webber 3rd. Just a wet race prediction mixed with a bit of Game Theory (does that make me sound clever?). As Keith said “A lot of people predicted Button to win!” So that gets me 25 points and equal 1st! Yay!
Keith, if you’ve got limited prizes, would you consider announcing a countback system, in case heaps of people end up on the same points at season’s end? Might save some grief….
Wow, joint top eh? I went with Vettel, Rosberg, Button. Nico, grrr.
Regarding a countback system, I’m thinking a tie after 15 rounds is highly unlikely, but not impossible, since the points are awarded in multiples of 5. Maybe have some bonus points NOT in multiples of 5, just in case?
