Italian Grand Prix qualifying in pictures

Lewis Hamilton blasts between the trees at Monza
The Monza parkland in autumn sunlight is one of F1′s finest sights. Anyone who didn’t see this afternoon’s GP2 race might find it hard to believe that, shortly after F1 qualifying finished, the sunlight and mid-30s temperatures gave way to dark skies and pouring rain.
We may get more rain tomorrow, but in the meantime enjoy these pictures of the F1 drivers doing their thing at a sunny Monza

Amazing pics and especially the one of Buemi in the shade brilliant picture.

Indeed, RBR and STR look amazing in the shade.

I love the pictures of the cars going around the shady, closed up area. The sense of speed is much greater, and the noise is amplified.
We want more tracks like this !

So, apart from going to the circuit(s), where can I see the GP2 races?

Eurosport!
Coverage is pretty good. Before they showed the race yesterday (which started late because of the thunderstorm) they showed a repeat of the sprint race from Spa.

Eurosport’s coverage was already scheduled to start late, even though they didn’t have conflicting live programming in their schedule. Very unimpressed.

At least they covered it!

Still irks me that so many channels (Sky… I’m looking at you) require a subscription to view, and then still show adverts.
You can find Eurosport on Sky or Freeview TopUp, both of which you have to pay for.
In the end I found an alright-ish stream on justin.tv and watched the first race, which was very entertaining.
I’m never up in time for the Sunday morning sprint race.
