Hate to be pessimistic, but we say that before every race and they usually turn out boring! It’ll be great if Barrichello wins though

Brilliant, I’m going to go to bed grinning like an idiot!
Kimi 5th better than I expected, Alonso and Kubica can maybe work their way up, Buemi 6th and I feel Jaime did very, very well today. But Rubens that was the best! Just what I wanted

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH BUTTON!
rigjht thats it no more support for him
that is exactly the kind of exasperating English sportsmenship we are slowly breaking away from.

that said what a great race we have set up for tommorow.
Wonder how many places Hamilton can fight his way up. Vettle can’t win but he can prove he’s an overtaker.
Please let Rubi win it….
I want to hear the Brazillian roar when/if he does.
Also I wonder what Ferdy can do. hmmm

For someone whose never raced at Interlagos to qualify 6th in those conditions was brilliant from Buemi , Barrichello used all of his home support to his advantage and this leaves us with a grid that’s going to produce out of this world racing you wait and see :D

Ah but with a name StrFerrari4ever I think you’re biased about Buemi! But but to be fair he did well, at one point he looked like he might have ended up on pole, which would’ve been amazing

10 points in the bag :D Not sure about RACE PREDICTIONS THOUGH. Hamilton & Button are way down the grid. But I wouldn’t mind if the checkered flag is waved before the race start :P

People are talking as if Rubens has won this race already? There are 71 laps to go yet, and if today is anything to go by, then ANYTHING could just happen.
I’ve got a deep feeling that it wont be plain sailing for Rubens, he’s got a few youngsters near to him (as has Jenson, it must be said) that could cause trouble i.e. Sutil, Buemi and Rosberg.
Lewis is the greatest

Yaaaaaaaaaaaay Rubinho!!!!!!!
fantastic qualifying
I can’t wait for you to drive down the chequered flag at Yas Marina.

IMO, it’s incredibly surprising how JB manages not to fight for his winning position. Sure, he was the king at the start of the season, but c’mon!

That was a WONDERFUL qualifying from Rubinho. It’s the best thing he could’ve hoped for for the race, with Button in 14th and Vettel down in 17th.
Buemi was pretty good too.
Tomorrow will be exciting!!

Totally, even better with HAM and KOV behind BUT. I reckon they have the same fuel strategy as BUT, but a better starting history. It’ll be very interesting.

17th October 2009, 22:43
I would say it is almost certain Webber has more fuel that Rubens. I reckon he is the tip for the race provided he can keep it together (which I reckon he can).
Webber to win Brazil GP.
Andrew White
17th October 2009, 23:22
As long as Barrichello has a bit of fuel in the tank and he doesn’t bog down at the start, he should be in a good position for the win. Having said that, Webber’s chances are pretty good too.

Maybe some consolation news for Vettel. Liuzzi WILL take the five place grid drop for a changed gearbox!
Moving Vettel even closer to his WDC rival.. so to speak.
Should be an exciting race and hopefully will still be a three horse race for the WDC in Abu Dhabi.

Anybody else think that Kimi will take out Sutil again? Eh? Anybody? :)
dsob
18th October 2009, 9:44
Kimi take out Sutil ????? Oh, surely not….LOL :)
Not to wish anyone bad luck, but I could almost hope Kimi WOULD nudge Sutil round a bit at the Senna S, nothing big enough for a safety car mind you, just enough to scramble the cars behind.
Then we’d see Rubens & Webber pull well away from the field, and have a grand time watching the two “old guys” fighting it out. Might be the most interesting racing of the season.
And have your earplugs ready for the finish if Rubens does win it….Rubens wins with Massa waving the checker(he is still doing that, yes?) … my gracious, the fans will blow the roof off the place!

Here’s a stat for you Keith ;)
As far as I’m aware, this is the first time in the new qualifying system that all the cars are actually in time order despite the three different sessions. Looking down the timesheets you normally expect to see Q2 times faster then the final session but because of the rain, it was all up in the ir (quite literally).

Now, if next year we could have a whole season like the second half of this one, I’ll be pretty satisfied.
