Send an F1 picture – win a book

I’ve had an email from F1 books author Christopher Hilton who’s writing a new title on famous Grand Prix circuits.

He’s looking for photographs taken by fans from F1 tracks around the world.

If you have any pictures you’d like to share, Christopher is offering a signed copy of his latest work to anyone who submits a picture which gets used in the book.

Here’s more information on the type of pictures he’s after:

I am writing a complete guide to all the F1 circuits since 1950, to be published by Haynes.

To personalise the book I am looking for people who took pictures at Grands Prix weekends and would like to see them considered for the book (off-beat material especially welcome), and eye witness accounts (of not more than 300 words) of their personal impressions.

I reckon F1 Fanatic is the ideal place to try and find these people, whoever they might be. Anybody out there want to be in the book?

The pictures need to illustrate some aspect of the circuit – they can be race pictures but could only have been taken at the circuit in question. By definition, I don’t need tight pictures of two cars dicing and so on which could have been taken anywhere.

I am not looking for Silverstone, Brands, Long Beach, Watkins Glen, Mosport, Hockenheim, Monza but I am looking for everywhere else.

If you have any pictures you would like to offer for the project, please send examples to circuitsbook@f1fanatic.co.uk for us to have a look at.

  1. Sound like it’ll be an awesome book.

  2. Will look for the book when it comes out.

  3. Is there a deadline?

    1. No but once enough pictures are in there won’t be a need for any more, so best to send them in soon for consideration. We’ve already had a lot of pictures and the quality is very high.

      1. Thanks – will dig around for my Melbourne 2008 photos.

        1. Cool Thanks, I’ll get my Spa pictures and I little bit of text in for tomorrow

  4. Does he want fans in them or just the pictures of the track with the cars on?

    1. Yeah I’m sure that would be fine.

      1. Thanks Keith, i’ll dig out my Monaco 2004 pics, the first year with the new pits.

Not the best quality you’ll get but some reasonable ones of pit entrance & garages, and swimming pool to rassecasse.

Just to let you know that I have sent some photos from Albert Park 2005 (Fisi Wins!) to Christopher and he is going to see if they can be included in his book.

    Fingers Crossed!!
