Discounted British Grand Prix tickets are selling quickly
Buying F1 tickets isn’t cheap but you can get the best deals if you book quickly. Tracks are offering discounts of up to 20% if you buy your tickets within the next few weeks.
Bahrain, Sepang, Catalunya, Silverstone and Spa are all offering discounts for their 2010 F1 races. Here’s where the best bargains can be found and when they run out.
Bahrain Grand Prix – Bahrain
If you’re planning to go to the F1 season opener you’ve got until the end of the month to get a 15% discount on any ticket purchase.

Malaysian Grand Prix – Sepang
Sepang’s special offer also runs out at the end of the year. They’re offering 50% off the price of a second ticket, but it only applies to certain stands.

Spanish Grand Prix – Circuit de Catalunya
The Spanish Grand Prix organisers offer two discount periods, with a 20% price reduction available to those who booked before November 30th.
That deadline has passed but you still have until February 28th to get a 10% discount on your booking.

British Grand Prix – Silverstone
In the 24 hours since the 2010 British Grand Prix was confirmed 6,500 tickets with a total value of £1.2m were sold. With two British world champions driving for the same team expect the race to be another sell-out.
It’s not clear when their ‘early bird’ discounts end, so if you want to be at next year’s British Grand Prix it’s best to get in there while you can:
25% off Friday and Saturday tickets
Although the site says discounts of up to 20% are available, single tickets for Friday and Saturday appear to be offered at a 25% discount.
10-15% off Sunday tickets
The biggest discounts are on the Gold grandstands (Pits straight, Becketts and Vale) plus the uncovered Silver stands.
10-20% off three-day tickets
Get one-fifth off the price of a three-day general admission ticket. It won’t reserve you a seat, but you can sometimes buy low-cost upgrades on Fridays and Saturday if you get there early enough.

Belgian Grand Prix – Spa
All the weekend tickets are discounted by around 9-10% until the end of January. A maximum saving of €55 (£49.60) is available, though of course that’s on the dearest tickets.

. Its important for Bernie & the organizers to take note that F1 has a large middle class following around the globe & also in Bangladesh. The first time I heard of Bangladesh was when there were cyclones in the 90’s. Never did I think that such a tiny country would have such a massive fan base, that were willing to go to races.

I looked into going to the 2009 Malaysian GP (glad i didn’t go as it turned out!) and I found that the ‘hill’stand C2 looked the best. It was cheap and had views of the back straight and more.

Looks like it’s limited to main grandstand north lower tier, both tiers of main grandstand south and a couple of others:

They only sell tickets for 4 major areas now – front straight, back straight, Turn 1, and the back of the circuit (Turn 9 is it?). Anything else are grass areas.
I stayed at the front straight last year, and the views of the pits and podium were awesome. F1Wolf says, though, that Turn 1 was just as good – and a bit cheaper too. The downside of a non-pits-straight ticket though is you don’t get access to all of the autograph sessions – just some (at least that was the case this year).
i’m a french f1 fan and a bit jealous of the spirit in uk around motor sports.
In france, the f1 gp project near Paris has just been dropped and no one cares, only few words in the media.
In uk, where no gp in 2010 was 100% sure until few days ago, every body did their best in Silverstone and Donington, or at least tried. Now its a 17 year contract and furthermore the fans are in a rush to buy tickets, that’s great.
Even the bbc covergae is fantastic. In france we have many commercials during the race,quali , free practise.

The French for unknown reasons appear to have lost interest in motorsports & in particular Formula One. Is it because of the drunkard Sarkozy? I was in Papeete a few weeks back & it seem to me that I was the only one following F1 during my stay there

I think actually Sarkozy and his “friends” are in favor of f1 project. He likes money,business and show off(bad definition of F1 i admit, but a good one of Sarkozy).
French Prime minister,Francois Fillon, is from Le Mans and love motorsports (he tried the 908 Peugeot on Le Mans track few days ago).
The problem here is that ecologists are too powerful in french politic because they form a political alliance with the socialist party. They will oppose every project which is not 100% green. Socialist let them oppose on this project in order to have hands free on other political issues. The President of Paris Region is socialist and cars use fuel so ….
A shame political interest ruin the chance of having french GP.

I actually believe this Parisian circuit was a bad idea in the first place. There are many good venues (paul ricard for instance) and I believe Bernie’s “I want to be able to see the Tour Eiffel from the circuit” is a load of rubbish. Paris has enought urban organisations as it is.
I’m going to the Malaysian GP next year…I am intending to do the walkabouts so the “certain” stands clause doesnt apply to me… =)

That has great advantages like a pit tour on Wednesday, driver press conferences and getting a chance to be on the grid before the race…already bought my ticket
Silverstone will have to discount their current prices by 50% before I’d consider buying one for next year’s race. The prices really are silly money.
