Felipe Massa drove a 2008-specification Ferrari F1 car at Interlagos yesterday.
According to Ferrari he used demonstration tyres for his appearance at the track to present the team’s new sponsor Santander.
He was joined by twice-champion Emerson Fittipaldi and former Ferrari test driver Luciano Burti.
A group of fans turned up to watch the event, having missed the chance to see Massa at the track last year as he recovered from his Hungarian Grand Prix injuries.

You’re right it does look like an ’06, but Ferrari said he drove an ’08. Have changed the caption to be on the safe side. Perhaps he drove both?

It looks like the 248 F1 because it had white wings.

It is the F2008 painted in this years livery.
You can tell by the hammerhead front nose.

It looks like the F2008 to me. I think it’s the livery which is reminiscient of the F2006
Also, isn’t Massa leaving it a tad late to be in Brazil? If he doesn’t head for Europe or the Middle East his body clock will be in a right muddle come Friday

Luciano burti said this 2008 ferrari is the same chassis which got 1st place in 2008 in this very same circuit.
I’m looking for a video of this presentation, anyone found that?

you can tell it’s the 08 car from the raised sides of the cockpit too. and obviously the nose as has been mentioned. the shape of the intake above the head is a slightly different shape too

Massa must be real hot to get out on track again. Or he just loves the feel of that F2008 that almost brought him the WDC.

There was also an akward situation protagonized by Massa…He and the Santander guy, aboard of one Ferrari road car tried to go to the track.. while there was a race going on.. Massa was stopped by the track marshall, who stood still in front of the car, Massa got angry with the Marshall and even tried to scare him by pushing the throttle and later was told by a Ferrari staff to return to pits…
I couldn’t explain very well due to poor english.. but the pic speaks for itself
