Can you predict the pole sitter and top five finishers in the Canadian Grand Prix?

If so you could be in with the chance of winning F1 race tickets, DVDs and more. Enter your predictions below now.

The prizes

This year we’re giving away a pair of prizes every race weekend.

On top of that at the end of the year the top 12 finishers all get prizes – and whoever scores the highest overall will be going to the 2011 British Grand Prix. Here are the prizes in full:

Grand prize: Two grandstands tickets to the 2011 British Grand Prix

The person who scores the most points in the 2010 F1 Fanatic Predictions Championship will win grandstand tickets to the 2011 British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

This is the first time we’ve offered F1 race tickets as a prize at F1 Fanatic and I hope you all agree it’s a fitting reward for the F1 expert who can best predict who will be on top in 2010.

The grand prize winner will receive tickets to all three days of the 2011 British Grand Prix with reserved grandstand seating for the race.

Second place prize: An F1 painting of your choice

The second place finisher in the championship will win an F1 painting by Rob Ijbema.

You get to choose which F1 driver, present or past, will feature in the painting. Or you can pick one of the other motor racing paintings on Rob’s site Car-a-day.

Runners-up prizes: Autocourse 2010-2011

The ten players who finish in third to 12th positions in the championship will win a copy of the 2010-2011 edition of Autocourse.

The highly respected journal of Formula 1 and other major international four-wheeled racing series is published at the end of every season.

This year the publication marks its 60th anniversary edition.

This four-disc set “The Lotus Story” chronicles Lotus’s participation in F1 from the company’s beginning in 1948 up to its F1 withdrawal in 1994. (Please note this DVD is in PAL format).

Duke are also offering a special promotion exclusive to all F1 Fanatic readers – whenever you order from them you can get 15% off using the promotional code F1Fanatic at the checkout.

  1. Gonna go for another Red Bull one-two. Worked spectacularly in Turkey. Who needs ride height adjustment ;)

  2. Can’t say I’m feeling confident about this one, banking on Mercedes’ pace being better than Red Bull’s.

  3. I had a dream that qualifying was wet and Hamilton ‘did a Malaysia’ which got me really annoyed because I predicted him to take pole and win the gp. I woke up and thought ‘Well looks like I have made my mind up about the predictions without even thinking about it!’

Surely thats the sign of a true fanatic, dreaming of F1?

  4. Decided to give a unique top 5, I’ll look stupid if there’s no rain on Sunday :)

    1. Yer I’ve gone for a crazy race prediction as well, I think I’ll need to have a few safety cars and/or rain to make mine remotely plausable.

  5. my prediction strategy:

Grampa Simpson: Put it all on 41. I’ve got a feeling about that number.
Roulette Operator: The wheel only goes to 36, sir.
Grampa Simpson: Okay, put it all on 36! I’ve got a feeling about that number.

  6. Go Lewis Go !!! Go McLaren Go !!!

  7. I think 99% of people should check todays weather for Montreal. Went for a bit of a balancing act given the weather predictions for the next 2 days. Have the front runners up there but in a bit of a “not usual” order.

  8. This has got to be the hardest prediction round so far.

  9. Most definitely. I’m still pondering my choices as the weather and tyre graining make it very difficult to predict anything. It might be a crazy grid if anyone gets their tyre choice wrong. Could this be the first race where some of the top 10 start on the prime tyre??

  10. Keith, you should have an extra section for this round – correctly predict who will be the first one to make the acquaintance of the “Wall of Champions”. I vote for Petrov.

    1. I’ll go for Kobayashi

  11. I’m banking my pole time on the basis that it might rain during qualifying. 1:21. Come on mother nature do me a favour!! (the rhyme wasn’t intended!!)

  12. Don’t know about quali but it luks like its gonna rain tomorrow…its actually hard to predict this weak….i’m sitting since 1 hour scratching my head thinking whom should i even put for pole…..

  13. Anyone else having a problem submitting their prediction. Mine won’t go !

    1. I did have problems with submitting my prediction, but no technical ones.

Just not having a clue about who will be where in qualifying. Not having a clue about the pole time because of that and the weater and with a pretty much unpredictable race tomorrow (will 2 stop be neccicary, possible rain, accidents and SC periods etc) i am hard done to make a prediction i can live with.
So i ended up taking a gamble at Red Bull making it 8 in a row with Vettel. He will of cource succumb to the pressure, destroy his tyres and crash out during the first laps, but that only makes it harder to predict :-D

i’m probably going to be kicking myself for this, once the rain is over. one thing’s almost certain though: kubica is going to finish in the top five – he’s been VERY consistent this season. as has nico rosberg, for the most part. his two strong practice sessions made me decide to put him in the top five.

Awww damn it! my internet wouldn’t work and I’m too late to enter.

  16. Any one knows why this shows – no race available for this championship. tried firefox, ie and chrome.

  17. I can’t sumbit my prediction too. Am I too late? Still one hour and half to the qualify…

  18. Kieth,
    here’s my prediction for montreal:
    01:16.021
    HAM – pole
    1st – ALO
    2nd – HAM
    3rd – MSC
    4th – VET
    5th – KUB

  19. I’ve just got back from work! Being trying to predict since Q1 began, am I too late?

    1. Well it’s worth trying.

      01:15.880

      VET – POLE

      ROS
      HAM
      VET
      KUB
      BUT

  20. after Q: Against my heart’s desire, Lewis (driver and car) is quite commanding at the mo, but (bleeding a little red right now) I think both top teams should be REALLY worried about Fernando.

  21. absolutely gutted, i missed predictions for this weekend :(
happy for hamilton though, would have been my pick ;)

  22. This is my 2nd missed GP predictions. Now I need to make up on European races.
