Say what you like about the Valencia Street Track – at least the photographers can get close to the cars and snap some cracking close-ups.

Practice had led us to expect an unusual result in qualifying but it turned into another battle between Red Bull and McLaren.

Here’s a selection of pictures from qualifying for the European Grand Prix.

  1. Brilliant photos, as always.

  2. The paint did liven up the track, at least. But a pity they didn’t use it to also make the corners more visually different from one another.

It does not help the racing, but on that pic of Liuzzi, it does give a nice speed effect :) Nice photos!

  3. Lolz, the pix where Webber was already on his way back while LH and Vettel were still waving says it all…. :-)

The Aussie is really annoyed !!!

    1. Haha! that’s a funny picture.

  4. Anyone know of any pics of the new Ferrari exhaust system everyone is talking about? There don’t seem to be any of these in yesterdays or today’s galleries?!

  5. Yellow Renault + Red and yellow kerbs + Green tarmac + Blue walls= some very colourful pictures. It may be a bit boring but I love the look of the Valencia track

  6. Erm.. i think one of the Williams is showing Nico Hulkenburg instead of Rubens Barrichello..

    1. Your right, unless Rubens has a new helmet.

As ever, these pictures are fantastic!
Where do you get them from?? (worth a try) :D
