    1. Numbers 5 and 6 are the most surprising perhaps..

      1. Both were very impressive, I am happy Rubens did well, Because he won here last year, and has done well again, It will give him confidence.

    2. Kobayashi, a surprise? Not at all, he was on softs at the very end. Barichello timing is indeed surprising though.

      1. But did he set that time on the option tyre? First lap was an out lap the second he was fighting with Alonso and with Buemi on the last lap, so I don’t think he could have set that time in the last laps. And also as I was fallowing the live timing I noticed Kamui was very quick the whole race more or less keeping up with the leaders, sometimes he was the quickest car on track.

    3. Why did Shumi pit under the safety car? He was on hard tires and 3rd. If the Merc guys kept their wits about them a good points finish was on the cards and not a Sunday “test” session.

      1. Yeah I’d agree. Like Koby he could have been in a good position.

But it’s even worse, not only did they miss that opportunity. But they pitted him too late when they did decide to pit him. He was in a good position until their blunder.

    4. I’m a bit surprised to see Alonso in 10th on this list. That’s probably what happens when you start worrying about other drivers races, instead of your own.

      1. Glad you said ‘bit’… I’m not surprised…

This is the real reason why Ferrari are so mad about the weekend. 0.7 seconds gained per lap supposedly and not really on the pace. If Mclaren get 0.5 out of the blown diffuser (bigish IF) Mclaren and Red Bull will be miles ahead on fast corner circuits.

        1. Because dishing out the best laptimes is so easy when you are stuck behind Buemi .. and if you don’t believe that, look at Button, the second Kamui was gone he set the fastest time of the race …
