Sebastien Buemi
Blamed a lack of downforce for the STR5’s lack of pace, but out-qualified Alguersuari once again.
On race day Buemi joined Rubens Barrichello in voicing his displeasure with Michael Schumacher:
On the way down to the first corner Michael (Schumacher) pushed me over to the left side and I had to go on the brakes, or I would have gone off the track and I don’t think it was very fair on his part.

He lost three places at the start and ended the race out of the points.

Jaime Alguersuari
Was this a cheeky joke from Alguersuari after qualifying?
We found a good set-up for Q1, but maybe I had a bit too much front wing in Q2 and the car was oversteering too much. My lap times were all similar and I think it was the best I could do today, even if I had expected a little bit more from the upgrades we had here. And just to make it clear, I was not held up by Schumacher.

But his race didn’t last long:
A very short race for me and I am not sure what the problem was, as I saw no alarms on my dash.
I felt that I was beginning to lose torque and power and the pit wall told me to stop the car at the side of the track. I saw a lot of smoke and I realised I was losing some fluid, so I tried to stay off the racing line so as not to cause problems for the others.
It was not the best way to celebrate the first anniversary of my Formula 1 debut.

Did Schumacher say:
“On the way down to the first corner Michael (Schumacher) pushed me over to the left side and I had to go on the brakes, or I would have gone off the track and I don’t think it was very fair on his part.” ?

Bad start for Buemi…
Not nearly as bad as his start last weekend, or his teammate’s start this weekend. Torro Rosso has definitely turned into the weakest of the established teams. I guess their budget is but a fraction of RBR’s. Although in terms of just being a farm team for RBR it’s a pretty pricey venture.

Torro Rosso won’t be able to go anywhere other than P9 in the constructure championship it will be a team to feed Red Bull with good drivers.

Not sure about Torro Rosso. Their car has probably had less development over the season of all teams bar HRT. But it might still do the job at a track that fits them if Mercedes falls back further and Force india has not had much updates working on the car lately as well.
Both Sauber and Williams are going a bit up and down depending on the tracks.
Still STR will have a hard job to come anywhere near place 8 in the WCC this year, maybe they would like ART or Cypher or someone to get in for next year and help them keep a development pace through the season next year.

Dear. Mr. Collantine… Maybe you should see this:
Hungary 2009
Q1
13. Buemi – 1:21,571
20. Alguersuari – + 0,788
Hungary 2010
Q1
15. Alguersuari – 1:21,978
16. Buemi – + 0,004
Gap between Alguersuari and Buemi shortened from 8 tenths to “nothing”…
And maybe you should also check other qualifyings, where this year supersofts were used, like Monaco, Valencia, or Bahrain to see that Alguersuari has in Germany and Hungary qualifyings with those compounds really improved…
And at last, I recommend also checking times from races in Silverstone, Barcelona, Istanbul Park or Shakhir, where Buemi was generally slower then his team mate… And I don t mean only fastest lap! They are very equall in races in terms of speed, but you seems not to get it at all…
Shakhir – Buemi + 0,300
Sepang – Alguersuari + 0,300
Barcelona – Buemi + 0,350
Monte Carlo – Alguersuari + 0,300
Istanbui Park – Buemi + 0,600
Montreal – Alguersuari + 0,100
Valencia – Alguersuari + 0,400
Silverstone – Buemi + 0,300
