It was a few races after the Austria ’02 debacle, where Barrichello had to let Schumacher by to win. This time Schumacher, who had already wrapped up the championship, was leading. He slowed down and the pair crossed the line side-by-side, Barrichello ahead by 0.011s. Afterwards Schumacher said he’d been trying to engineer a dead heat.
