It’s the deciding round of the 2010 F1 Fanatic Predictions Championship.

This is where we’ll find out who walks off with top championship prizes.

And as ever we’ve got two prizes for the predictions of the weekend. So what are you waiting for? Enter your predictions below.

The prizes

This year we’re giving away a pair of prizes every race weekend.

On top of that at the end of the year the top 12 finishers all get prizes – and whoever scores the highest overall will be going to the 2011 British Grand Prix. Here are the prizes in full:

Grand prize: Two grandstands tickets to the 2011 British Grand Prix

The person who scores the most points in the 2010 F1 Fanatic Predictions Championship will win grandstand tickets to the 2011 British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

This is the first time we’ve offered F1 race tickets as a prize at F1 Fanatic and I hope you all agree it’s a fitting reward for the F1 expert who can best predict who will be on top in 2010.

The grand prize winner will receive tickets to all three days of the 2011 British Grand Prix with reserved grandstand seating for the race.

Second place prize: An F1 painting of your choice

The second place finisher in the championship will win an F1 painting by Rob Ijbema.

You get to choose which F1 driver, present or past, will feature in the painting. Or you can pick one of the other motor racing paintings on Rob’s site Car-a-day.

Runners-up prizes: Autocourse 2010-2011

The ten players who finish in third to 12th positions in the championship will win a copy of the 2010-2011 edition of Autocourse.

The highly respected journal of Formula 1 and other major international four-wheeled racing series is published at the end of every season.

This year the publication marks its 60th anniversary edition.

Race winners prize: The Lotus Story DVD Box Set

Duke Video are supplying the prize for the player who gets the highest score in each round.

With the Lotus name returning to F1 in 2010 what better prize than a DVD box set showing the history of this great team. This four-disc set “The Lotus Story” chronicles Lotus’s participation in F1 from the company’s beginning in 1948 up to its F1 withdrawal in 1994. (Please note this DVD is in PAL format).

Duke are also offering a special promotion exclusive to all F1 Fanatic readers – whenever you order from them you can get 15% off using the promotional code F1Fanatic at the checkout.

Race runners-up prize: Two F1 T-shirts

The second place finisher in each race will win a race winner’s T-shirt and Official F1 Fanatic T-shirt from Unlap.

This prize is supplied by Unlap.

  1. What a stressful race to come…

  2. Going to miss watching my beloved Arsenal FC play to see who finishs top of the F1 mountain. Usually the F1/Football misses eachother, but typically the last race coinsides with it.

This prediction would have been (on paper) simple with RBR’s and Alonso jostling for P1, but Hamilton (and potentially Button) has gone and thrown the biggest bloody spanner into this.

    Game on !!!

  3. damn it, I forgot about Kubica!

    1. You don’t predict outside the top five ;-)

      1. Zing!, burn!

and all that jazz, still I think he may be a force this weekend providing Renault sort out the pit stops…

Although this coming from a Renault fanboy I should probably be ignored.

        1. Well I’m currently 38th looking to slide out of the top 100 ;-) I go with what i thought would be intersting rather that what I think will happen. Alonso is due a DNF but I didn’t predict that.
Kubica easily could be in the top 5 but every time I think that he never is.

          1. I’m out the top 100 this year, last year I was 3rd but I missed a few predictions, shame since I could have won it and I wanted a Painting of Sutil crashing into Trulli @ Brazil.

Then I could have scanned it and sent it to Trulli for his documents he sent the FIA.
            :D

  4. Great competition Keith, really kept us all hooked throughout the year. Might I suggest an amendment to clause 5(c) of the Terms and Conditions. It right now states:

Correctly predicting where one/two/three/four/five driver/s finish: 2/6/14/24/40 points

This way, someone who predicted only the winner correctly and someone who predicted only the 5th place correctly end up with the same points. This I think is unfair. Predicting the winner should carry more points.

So, the amended rule would be
Correctly predicting first/second/third/fourth/fifth placed driver fetches 16/10/8/4/2 points respectively
    .

    1. Why is that unfair? Predicting any position correctly is as hard as predicting the winner. In fact, I would even argue that predicting the winner is easier than predicting who will end up 5th!

  5. For once I have gone with what I’d like to happen, rather than what I think will happen. Let’s see how that works for me on the last round. Can I do a Lewis & win it from 43rd?

  6. Put a zero behind that 43 and you’ll get my place on the grid, but that’s what I get for voting the way I want it to go…lol.

    Good luck!
