i’d guess that the cooling vent on the outside will be for the KERS whereas the conventional one goes to the engine.

I was thinking it was some kind of improvement to the “F-duct” system or away to move the heated gasses over the rear difuser. Looking at the next photo.. could it be part of a blown exhaust system getting the hot gasses through the difuser? not sure if a carbon fibre exhaust would take the heat. But it is insteresting.

I noticed it on the Renault, but did not see this at first glance. The McLaren is looking great!
