1. lol… I’m just excited to see some second session testing! Hopefully a lot more is revealed, but I may be expecting too much!

1. My dream would be to see the top 15 cars covered by a second this season with the remainder within 2 seconds… lets see some racing. This is the biggest problem with Formula 1 today; no racing. Tracks are too narrow and corners are too tight. If the cars are close though we may actually see some legitimate passing instead of pit lane passes.

1. Performance of the cars was nearly that close in 2009 and the racing wasn’t spectacular.

2. what about 2009, the field was constantly covered by less than 1.5 seconds in qualifying

2. anybody know a website thats actually showing the testing (streaming) follow me on twitter DelvesyF1

1. This test will show almost nothing, at best it will give a small idication of how fast a car is and for some teams how reliable their car is.

1. It will show weather the Virgin, McLaren and FI cars are reliable. And some teams might bring out some of their exotic exhaust solutions to try them out.

We will get some more reflections on the tyres and Bruno senna and Quick Nick (nice touch, he changed his avatar in a gold circle withe a Q in it on a black background!) will give an appearance on track.

2. Mclaren might show us what innovations they’ve got, they said they weren’t all on the car they launched

3. any live timing tinks???

better live timing was on http://www.msfree.gr last time at valencia though, does it work for jerez too?

2. any live timings that update everyone on track?
these sites are kinda slow and don’t show all the info… isn’t there a french site?

4. Do they air the tests in the UK or EU?

5. Was it Williams who had live timings last week? Try them. Personlly i’ve not paid much attention to the times…I don’t find them to be really indicative.

1. Between looks and testing times, I’m gonna go with testing times!

2. I liked the greek site (now looking if I can find the link). It had the number of laps and from clicking on drivers it showed all laps as they went.
That can be a nice tool for the statistics lovers to have a go on analyses.

6. I thought it was Petrov driving today, and Heidfield and Senna over the weekend

1. The following drivers will be participating in today’s test:

Sauber – Sergio Perez
Ferrari – Felipe Massa
Force India – Adrian Sutil
Lotus – Jarno Trulli
McLaren – Lewis Hamilton
Mercedes – Nico Rosberg
Red Bull – Mark Webber
Renault – Vitaly PetrovToro Rosso – Daniel Ricciardo / Jaime Alguersuari
Virgin – Timo Glock
Williams – Pastor Maldonado

7. Nice touch, the Virgins using their empty sidepods to wish Robert Kubica a speedy recovery.

1. do post the link for the greek site if you find it..

1. I only found the one to valencia testing (http://www.msfree.gr/ms.php?id=18694) my greek is not really up to the job of finding their Jerez live timing.

1. I just found that if you do not refresh the page, it automatically updates to the jerez timing in a minute or so. DO NOT REFRESH THE PAGE!!!
PS: The driver laptimes are a go… click all you want.. just dont refresh…

2. here it is, live timing from Jerez.
http://www.msfree.gr/ms.php?id=19028
Great site works well and reliable with nice details.

8. Williams showing live test times again:

<a href="http://www.attwilliams.com/test-timings"

9. Third time lucky!!!

10. why is it not showing the damn link?

http://www.attwilliams.com/test-timings

cut and paste foks ;-)

1. link seems ok to me.

2. good god lad…. I made that look like hard work!! too early :-))

11. It gets even better. Seems like all teams will be running that message on their cars!

Zsybkiego povrotu do zdrowia Robert Fully agree with that.

1. Haha, some of these translations crack me up…

“The Mexican seemed to turn his engine to stop it in July after which he unrolled until turn eight where the marshals accompany him.”

Excuse me? :D

1. The best one’s got to be “The British racing stable has a speedy recovery so desire on the nose glued to the Pole strength wishes for his recovery.”

2. autosport live text is on free service again. lol

1. Thanks for the tip!

3. Good link dude…anybody know a website thats actually showing the testing (streaming) follow me on twitter DelvesyF1

12. Kind of soon for a first incident… red flags currently in Jerez. Does someone have any info regarding the weather for this tests?

1. I am asking for the entire tests…as you probably remember last year it rained

13. Thank you Owl

14. Anyone remembers what times were last year at the same test (that is first day times, not the ones at the end of the testing session)?

1. Here are the times of first day of tests in Jerez last year:

http://www.f1-direct.fr/archives-live-prive-2010.php?page=jerez-10022010

1. LOL, quite a few of them have already done better times than those. The best times will be beaten quite easily if the weather keeps up today.

1. It rained for most of the day though, don’t forget that.

2. Exactly what I was trying to say. With the nice weather today these times might be beaten quite easily.

2. 1. Lewis Hamilton, McLaren, 1:19.583, 113 Laps
2. Adrian Sutil, Force India, 1:20.180, 84 Laps
3. Rubens Barrichello, Williams, 1:20.341, 90 Laps
4. Robert Kubica, Renault, 1:20.358, 86 Laps
5. Michael Schumacher, Mercedes GP, 1:20.613, 84 Laps
6. Sebastian Vettel, Red Bull, 1:21.203, 90 Laps
7. Felipe Massa, Ferrari, 1:21.486, 160 Laps
8. Pedro de la Rosa, BMW Sauber, 1:22.134, 105 Laps
9. Lucas di Grassi, Virgin, 1:22.912, 63 Laps
10. Jaime Alguersuari, Toro Rosso, 1:24.072, 98 Laps

Last day of testing last year

15. Everyone is on track now it seems. Torro Rosso leading the red Bull. I bet that is down to fuel loads or going it slow with some new bits at RB!

16. Looks like Autosport is showing FREE live test at Jerez

1. Thx for the news Amit

17. Why is the bbc not covering this like they did with the last testing session?

18. is there no live coverage anywhere for these tests i want to watch it as apose to a time screen!!!

1. One has to believe there is enough demand to have it on some site somewhere! The teams should show car feeds on their own websites at the very least

1. I believe the trouble really is, there are no cameras there. They do keep feeding us some pictures through Twitter and the odd produced video afterwards.
Keiths Twitter app is pretty good for that.

1. When I look at that page it doesn’t work… probably something on my end though! I’m a bit of a ludite (sp?).

1. wellm if anyone finds something share the wealth although if these no cameras there id say the chances are slim. I wonder if there covering the next test dates in Catalunya

2. did you configure – click on the names who you want to follow and then on start?

ps. not making fun of you, just sometimes it is small matters that hinder us.

2. Webber just finished an 18 lap run. Pretty consistent times there. Started in with a 1:23.85 and kept that going pretty much for 12 laps, before dropping by alomost a second for the rest of the run.

2. Watch Live timings & commentary in English
http://bit.ly/eCQiSy

No Live Videos available :(

19. I was thinking the same thing at the presentation of the Ferrari F150……

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/89369

20. Its 2011, about time FIA/F1 gave us more accessible live web feeds…

21. Am I the only person amazed that Williams are not top of the time sheets yet? Surely the top teams are carrying a little in reserve. Therefore, stick very little fuel in and light up the test. Then, perhaps Williams might get an extra sponsor or two.

Simples.

22. Internet Explorer has modified this page to help prevent cross-site scripting.

IE9 doesn’t like the way this page works Keith. :)

23. Will Hulkenberg have a chance to taste the new car out of the remaining 3 days?
