Alsonso out again? Isn’t it massa’s turn?

      1. No Massa did the first two days.

    3. Drivers to watch out for today – Senna, di Resta & Barichello.

will be interesting to see how Senna does compared Nick & Petrov. Eyes will be on di Resta, there are high hopes from him, he should be eager to show that his selection over Hulk & Tonio is well deserved. And finally Rubens will show what the new Williams is capable of…

Rubens 1m19.832s, best time of the week so far, on the 1st of an 8-lap stint.

      1. The one lap difference in fuel load migth do the trick for about 0.3 seconds, rest is track evolving, putting Williams at about the same level as Renault and Mercedes.

        1. Apart from Merc aren’t the same level as Renault.

Looking increasingly like Merc are off the pace, MSC topping the time means nothing, I was laughing tears with all the MSC and Merc are back the other day.
If they are to be in the top five there upgrade really has to work.

        2. Agreed the track will be quicker.
Its hard to tell where Williams are as they’ve had a lot of problems until now. Looks like they mush have everything working and seeing what the car can do.
To compare we could do with them all doing quali sims but that won’t be today.

          1. Strange comments, Schumacher’s times on both the soft & harder tyres were right up there with the other teams fastest times so far…

    5. For now Senna is 1.6 seconds slower than Heidfeld despite a more rubbered track.

      1. It’s also a good 10C cooler today.

        1. Teams will be glad it is the last day af running than. Having rain is probably not what they were waiting for.

Does make it easier to compare the times with last years times. If I remember right, that test was pretty wet with only extended period of dry running on the last day.

          1. Usually you’d be right but I think they’d like to get some proper wet running on the new Pirellis. Last year at Jerez it was quite wet (the test I was here for was, anyway) and they got a bit fed up with it but this year I think they’d like to try the Pirelli wets.

            1. I forgot about that, they did not do any wet running on those tyres yet (get Bahrain to do some tricks with the trucks like in that great Abu Dhabi session?).

So maybe some rain in Barcelona to look forward to? I suppose most teams would not have their newest downforce wings out, so that test would be the optimal for some 2 days of rain.

            2. So now they got some of that for the last hour of testing today.

    6. Kovalainen puts himself into fifth spot with a time of 1.21.632.

Was he on a few litres of fuel and the super-soft tyres or a full tank and the hard tyres? I guess we’ll never know.

One thing is for sure, the Lotus looks to be in the mix.

      1. which, if its a true reflection of the car, can only be a good thing. We all want the backmarkers to move up and spice things up.
