Is it possible that small vertical fin on the top of the RBR7 rear wing gives the car enough lateral stability through corners to make up for the loss of downforce when DRS is activated? – in corners where you couldnt normally use DRS? Other cars seem to have a smaller thin device to open the wing – assuming that is what they do. I havent noticed any other cars that have this, and Red Bull seem to be the only cars that can use DRS so early in some corners where others must wait longer before using it. Could this be a contributor to their speed difference in qualifying and practice?
