    1. Not a bad race. Not happy with Vettel winning another race, but they deserved it. McLaren lost Lewis the race though: before the final stops Lewis was 1 second behind Vettel. Immediately after the stops, the gap grew to 2.4 seconds.

      1. They might have gotten past Vettel had they stopped a lap earlier than him. But I guess they didn’t want the last stint to gett too long. I think the bigger strategy mess up was on Ferraris side once again, instead of tyring to go for a podium they had to cover Vettel (and failed at that) by blowing the soft tyres of which they already had one less new set and which is the only tyre that works well on their car. So many things wrong with their decision at once, it makes me sad.

      2. I thought it was a great race! Awesome speed from Vettel, and finally he was being pushed for a full GP. I thought Hamilton would have got it done really, but Vettel was just too quick out of the final corner.
The difference in strategies is incredible as well, Button making the 3 stop work was impressive, and Alonso going from second to end up being lapped by the top 2…crazy.

        1. Lewis made up on the straight thanks to the DRS what Sebastian earned on him during the whole lap.

    2. Ferrari’s pit stops are horribly slow against Red Bull’s.

      1. Yeah i think they costed Alonso’s position alot. But their pit stops look fast.

        1. 5 seconds? Red Bull take 3.7 seconds. One of Massa’s stops was around 6 seconds. Last year they were competitive, what’s happened to them?

          1. Badly missing Chris Dyer maybe? :p

            1. The speed is down to the mechanics.

            2. Alonso made the best start possible for a long time in F1 shame his team’s poor strategy couldn’t help him to capitalize on that.

Expect some negative horse whispering about Pirelli in the coming week.

      1. Unfortunately, that does seem likely. :(

    4. Kobayashi scores points yet again, despite having a puncture on the first lap. Is there anything that can happen to stop him scoring?!

      1. Nothing.

    5. Ferrari may rue wasting a set of softs in Q2 yesterday. Alonso may have challenged 3rd or 4th if they saved the tyres.

      1. Looking back, we know they didn’t need to run of a set of soft. but surely they weren’t comfortable with their performance. what a shame…

    6. I was happy to see Alonso’s amazing start and first two stint goes reasonably well but then prime was out…Ferrari’s performance on prime is just horrible.

Tyre allocation prevent teams to use various strategy. only Mclaren and Redbull has options for the race. Now I agree with Pirelli’s opinion. but FIA would not approve it…

    7. Not a bad race. Would have liked a better result from Petrov but nevermind. I don’t mind Kobayashi beating him.

    8. Investigation for Hamilton, Button and Alguersuari?

      1. +1 other, Webber I think.

Possible 25 sec penalties would keep Hamilton in 2nd.

        1. Drivers have been reprimanded. I officially have no idea when a penalty is a penalty anymore. Remember Japan 2009 Qualifying? There weren’t even marshals on the track then… I find some of the decisions a bit strange.

        2. No penalties given but they have been warned.

    9. Even if HAM, BUT, WEB all three get 25 second penalties, it wouldn’t change the finishing position of the front runners. So I don’t think that investigation is of any significance.

    10. Best F1 season for years…but the fact that the excitement is mostly down to tyre choice tells you that nothing has essentially changed. If you want real overtaking watch the bikes – MotoGp or World Superbikes.

      1. Bikes & Cars are two different sport how can you compare them I don’t know? F1 is F1 it is what it is just ONE.
