Paul Tracy has been sidelined by a back injury incurred in practice for the Champ Car Grand Prix of Long Beach. Tracy crashed at turn one, cracking a vertebrae in his back, and could be out for the rest of the season.
Spaniard Oriol Servia has been drafted into the car to make up the dwindling numbers in the championship which again sees only 17 competitors this weekend.
