I have to say, after masterminding the campaign of a car that appears to have been built around the design philosophy of a submarine and has subsequently taken just twenty minutes to prove itself to be nothing more than an expernsive embarrassment, Formula 1 dodged a massive bullet when Prodrive failed to make it to the grid in 2008. Because right now, Aston Martin are making Hispania look adroitly professional.

McNish is getting blamed for being to impetuous in trying that overtake but I suspect he was expecting his team mate ahead to go through and then had the choice of potentially hitting his team mate up the backside or going round and he chose to go round and kept on the gas(gasoil) to try and get through before the Ferrari closed the door, of course that would have been instinctive reaction and he was probably halfway across the gravel before the thought was fully formed in his mind and airborne before the appropriate expletive came to mind.

  3. Only 23 hrs this year, what a bloody rip-off

Mcnish was talking about penalties and happily handing them out 2weeks ago in Monaco, now he goes on to try an even more stupid move.

I’m on a bit of a delay, as I watched Quali first (bless DVR) and am just now starting Le Mans. That was a quite a shunt for McNish! Thankfully He walked away. I was also thinking it was as optimistic passing attempt. Funny thing life…, perhaps now he may find it easier to relate to Mr Hamiltons all or nothing style.
