The F1 Fanatic Twitter directory has been brought up-to-date in time for the start of car launch season.
And the new F1 Fanatic Facebook directory features all the official Facebook accounts of the various teams and drivers.
Most of the 2012 F1 drivers have Twitter accounts (but not all of them). They include Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton, Mark Webber, Heikki Kovalainen, Jarno Trulli, Nico Rosberg and many others.
All the teams have official Twitter and Facebook presences.
You can find the updated lists here:
As well as recent driver moves and team name changes several new Twitter accounts have been added.
The Twitter directory now includes over 250 accounts including nearly 50 ex-F1 drivers such as Nigel Mansell, Mario Andretti and Emerson Fittipaldi.
There are also separate lists for other series here:
Thanks to Girts for compiling the list of Facebook accounts. If you would like to contribute to F1 Fanatic, find out how here:

I don’t mean this in a grumpy old man ‘the drivers were so much better in my day’ sort of way, but I really used to enjoy following the legends more than I did the modern drivers. The Mansells, Fittipaldis and the Andrettis give you a great insight into the mind of a racing driver and they’re free from PR restrictions too and are allowed to be more honest. Wish we had more ex-drivers and champions online.

@magnificent-geoffrey Josh Hill did say he’s been trying to get his dad on Twitter, so maybe we’ll have another one soon.

Thanks for the update @keithcollantine, and thank you @girts for putting together the facebook overview.
I think its nice to see how some of the drivers really put a lot into communication with fans and the world in general like this. And that picture on the Glock facebook account is really cool

Thanks for the update!
Thanks for the Facebook list, @Girts I’ll get them added.

@AndrewTanner @BasCB Thanks for the recognition guys! My first research for F1F
The trickiest task was finding out if Vettel’s account was fake or real. It has around 600 000 followers and one quite respectable F1 fansite said they had received confirmation (from where?) that it was the real Vettel. Then I, however, found a recent interview in Bild where Vettel himself said that he’s not on FB!

I did wonder about the Vettel account as well, good thing you managed to clear that one!
