Given Fernando Alonso’s performances in the wet this year Ferrari might have preferred a drop or two of rain for their home race.
But the Monza weather looks unlikely to oblige. F1 is set for its first fully dry race weekend since the European Grands Prix, following rain-hit events at Silverstone, Hockenheim, Hungaroring and Spa-Francorchamps.
The forecast for the three days ahead looks very settled, with little to no chance of rain.
Some cloud cover on Friday will constrain temperatures, though they should still reach around 25C. Qualifying and race day should see more sunshine and slightly higher temperatures.

still not a bad track for this year’s ferrari. if your car is lacking downforce and you had to pick a track to race on, it’d be monza.

This year’s Ferrari rather lacked top speed than downforce. They’ve always been good at tracks with high speed corners where a lot of downforce is required (since their big upgrade in Barcelona, of course). In Spa it looked like they solved their problems in terms of top speed but how well they did remains to be seen this weekend.

not to talk about the traction issues Ferrari has tried to fix, with such short wheelbase they carry this problem until the end of the year.

Finally some nice weather, Im not sure about you but I’m pretty damn sick of wet Practice and Quali, only to end up witha bone dry race.
Also some classic Monza weather ;)
Hopefully Lewis will get his championship back on track, sure to spic things up

It’ll be good to have dry weather and give us a clearer picture of where everyone is. Spa did a decent job but with FP turning into a swimming pool it begs the question ‘what could have been?’.

That’s true. However, I think Grosjean also had some influence.
Still a shame we won’t see Enstone / Lotus’ DDRS!
