Fernando Alonso was in position to win the world championship at two different points during the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Nico Hulkenberg wasn’t the only driver who impressed with his speed in the wet conditions – Jean-Eric Vergne did as well.

Sebastian Vettel praised his team after winning the drivers’ championship in Brazil and said he was happy they had not been distracted by “dirty tricks” during the year.

“Fernando ended where he did having effectively only taken part in 18 of the 20 races. The few hundred metres he covered in Spa and then Suzuka lays heavy like a rock.”
Fernando Alonso says this year proves he can win the championship with a slower car.
Jenson Button won a stunning Brazilian Grand Prix in which the championship outcome was in doubt until the end, when Sebastian Vettel finally clinched the title.
Sebastian Vettel won the drivers’ championship by three points and Ferrari beat McLaren to second in the constructors’.
