Ferrari’s annual media event at Madonna di Campiglio came to an end today with an ice kart race won by Fernando Alonso.
The first flyaway round of the world championship was held in Argentina on this day 60 years ago. But the race held at the behest of president Juan Domingo Peron ended in tragedy.
Fernando Alonso may not consider himself “political”, but that doesn’t stop him from toeing the Ferrari party line on testing.
Williams have become the first team to confirm they will run a 2012-specification car at the first test of 2013.
