  1. I don’t know if it was only picked up on the American broadcast, but did anybody see the vortex created by the rb9 front wing that went around the side pods? Thanks to the rain, you could actually see how the air was being affected by the car. First time I’ve seen that, and it was mind-blowing to see how aerodynamicist think.

    1. They talked about that on Sky too, and also last week in Austin.

    2. I saw similar in practice in Turkey in 2011! But I haven’t seen it much since.

Anybody know what those sensor grid thingys were on the red bulls during FP1? I recollect seeing them in Canada too.

    3. Some might disagree, but I think aerodynamics is one of the most astonishing things about an F1 car. Really cool to see that vortex

  2. I love Vettel’s new Helmet. Is that actually a tribute to Mark Webber?! (being led by Sebastian, of course)

    1. @adrianmorse
Yeah I really like it too

      1. @adrianmorse @george – Vettel’s helmet is OK – he’s actually got some thematic elements that relate to real things and not just froofy blingy colors, glitter, and LED’s. I really like Massa’s helmet, too. I’m so glad Felipe has a 2014 drive w/ a team as historic and ‘respected’ as Williams F1, even if they’ve gone years w/ only 1 win. Ferrari and Felipe are separating in style, and I’m happy to enjoy the cheesiness.
