Daniel Ricciardo, Red Bull, Shanghai International Circuit, 2014Rain in Shanghai on Saturday produced the third wet qualifying session of the year and the third pole position for Lewis Hamilton.

But while Red Bull were trying to beat Mercedes, designer Adrian Newey was at Silverstone to have a look at former driver Mark Webber’s Porsche LMP1 car.

After the action

There was disappointment at McLaren, as Jenson Button and Kevin Magnussen could only manage 12th and 15th on the grid respectively.

  4. I have no idea why Chilton is so popular. I assume a lot of people (me included) like him ironically but he always seems to be with so many fans. I guess he must be a really nice guy.
