It’s wet at Suzuka as teams begin their preparations for the Japanese Grand Prix but conditions should improve for race day.
Drivers can expect a wet start to proceedings at the circuit tomorrow, however, as more rain is forecast for the first day of track action. Rain could linger into Saturday, but is likely to clear up before qualifying begins.
The forecast continues to improve as the weekend goes on: Sunday is set to be dry, and maximum temperatures are expected to creep past 25C.
The Japanese Grand Prix will start earlier in both senses this year: the race start time has been moved forward by an hour due to an FIA ruling the wake of Jules Bianchi’s crash last year.
The race has also been brought forward on the calendar by one week, from early October to late September, to help make room on the schedule for the return of the Mexican Grand Prix later this year.

That beam of sunlight coming from between the clouds, that looks beautiful.

So everyone will sit in the garage for both p1 and p2 as nothing to learn for race day, just the occasional installation lap?

most likely, so no loss if we decide to have some sleep instead of watching it ;)

hopefully it is dry on Friday
then rains on Saturday and Sunday.
Then we will have a great and very open quali.
And an extremely interesting race maybe with a couple of safety cars.
That would give us a very interesting race where Vettel will be able to take the fight to the Mercedes and HOPEFULLY beat them!
Hope Vettel Wins Again!

Race wise, I would prefer the ‘great equalizer’ to poor down in Qualy and the race.
But memory wise, I don’t mind a dry race.

No rain for the race :( When was the last time the teams had to use wet tyres on Sunday?
