The Mexican Grand Prix weather conditions will be very familiar to the F1 teams from what they experienced 12 months ago.
Conditions will be fairly typical of October in Mexico City: warm but cloudy with, at present, only a very slight risk of rain on race day.
After a damp Thursday the first day of practice action on Friday should be dry and will see the coolest conditions of the three days with air temperatures only reaching around 17C.
The skies will clear up on Saturday and there’s a good chance qualifying will be run in sunny conditions with temperatures getting above 20C. It will be just as warm on Sunday but the skies are expected to cloud over again.
Track temperatures on the newly-laid asphalt rocketed during last year’s race and are expected to be high again this year. Having been in the upper 30s to lower 40s during practice in 2015 they hit a punishing 57C during the grand prix.
While October tends to bring drier weather to Mexico City after the wet summer months there is a chance of light showers on Sunday. However at present they are not expected until after the end of the race, which begins at 1pm local time.
Note also that Mexico’s daylight savings time observance means local clocks will be turned back one hour at 2am on Sunday morning, so sunset will go from just after 7pm on Saturday to just after 6pm on Sunday.

Strange that they observe daylight savings time in a tropical region.
