It could off course be that it was a bit of overasking to get Sainz in the end.
Impressive pace from RB. Ferrari, on the other hand… I was expecting them to be fast from the outset, but that does not seem to be the case
what tyres was Vettel on? kinda missed that
Ultra-softs.
Thanks!
That time from Bottas is the first indication it’s going to be a trickier weekend for Mercedes, though remembering that this is often a somewhat unrepresentative session.
from the feed, it doesn’t look like the Merc boys are feeling a great car underneath them so far, no.
I hope there is a lot of sand in ferrari’s bags….
Kimi 0.2s off in s1, 0.4s off in S2 and 0.3s off in S3
They’re lapping in sunshine at the moment – not exactly how it’s going to be for qualifying!
but that’s the point – aren’t we used to Ferrari being faster when it’s hotter?
I think Ferrari really do turn down the engine a lot on Friday this season
Giovanazzi shows he is still pushing it! Looks like it is slippery for everyone though.
I guess the implication is that a driver has to make more steps to get out of the car…
given that it is maybe the second or third time Vandoorne does this, and the current ones aren’t load baring as such, that footage is pretty much irrelevant
Finally a decent lap from Seb
Who’s going to be in the Williams seat next year? Sky is selling D’Resta… But I like Kubica.
Hello everyone and welcome back to F1 Fanatic Live in time for the second practice session for the Singapore Grand Prix!
Ricciardo is on it this weekend.
Really wish we still had the mini-sectors at a time like this!
Nice to see the 180-degree rotating camera back on Stroll’s car.
Noticed that too, nice to see that FOM is catching up IndyCar in that respect. Let’s hope for more.
Ferrari on the back-foot?
Let’s see what they do on their proper ultra-soft runs…
Kimi is not looking good at the moment
@njoydesign yep, he already signed his contract for next year, no need to push anymore
RIC purper under yellow
Purple
Mercedes must be hoping Ferrari can’t match Redbull because they aren’t winning this weekend !
Red Bulls are looking pretty solid around here
Alonso clips the wall. He hasn’t come on the radio to blame it on Honda yet…
Or Palmer
Oh dear Ricciardo goes even faster! Really interesting to see if Ferrari can match that.
I haven’t seen either of the Ferraris yet but based on the lap times presumably they’re towing caravans around?
Their pace is really worrisome. Especially for us, their tiffosi
I kind of wish they were allowed to use the full width of the track at the exit of seven. But I suppose if the did the fans in that grandstand wouldn’t be able to see as much of the cars…
Hulkenberg looks in good shape. Perez not as well up as in first practice but Force India will be pleased with where Williams are.
Is there a way to follow the time sheet during this sessions? A website or something like that?
Vettel did an out lap and went straight back into pits. not a good sign
They did some minor reparis to the rear suspension. He probably did an instal lap to see if it was all ok. Try not to wory so much.
overall it’s difficult not to. RB seems to be the car to beat this weekend. Judging by Kimi’s pace, Ferrari are really not on it, contrary to our expectations. If they don’t score big this weekend against the Mercs, we can say goodbye to the championship hopes
All the drivers are ranked pretty much in order of team strength – the only driver standing out negatively is Palmer yet again.
Once Vettel is able to complete a full lap without troubles on his US also Raikonnen will be out of place.
US=ultrasoft? Can I ask you what’s happening? Not seeing the session. Thanks!
Maybe a stupid question. Is the live timing board still available? For free?
See the answer to my very similar question just a couple of blocks below
THX!
Bottas pace pace looks terrible !
Are Ferrari planning a one-stopper US–>S? Seb has been driving the softs quite a bit today.
Hamilton is now setting some terrific laps on SS
oops, not SS but S
I would like to hear from Lewis and Valterri after this… Mercedes need Valterri to perform…
Clearly there is no track where Sauber are competitive now. I thought they’d be a bit better here but it seems not.
I’m a bit scared by Vettel’s pace…
My only hope is that they’ve been saving the engine, a LOT. Otherwise their lack of pace cannot be explained and paints a very grim picture for the race.
@njoydesign just saw that this morning’s time would have placed VET around 5th position; really hope they were doing a different kind of work.
that morning it was just one lap from Vettel. For the rest of FP1 the picture was very similar to FP2. What is also worrisome is that KImi is nowhere in both sessions
RedBulls have been very consistent on their long runs today. Quite impressive.
Thanks for joining in guys, here’s the second practice session report:
looks like I was getting depressed too early after seeing FPs 1 and 2. Good pace from Vettel to match RBs. But boy, look at that McLaren! Even two!
On a track where Ferrari hopes both its drivers finish ahead of Mercedes, will “the laggard” spoil the show.
any grid penalties so far?
Ericsson has a 5 place grid drop for his gear box. Hard to believe sucha minor contact could cause this much damage. It is hard to understand how his car lost it where it did.
Shout out to the dutch 🇳🇱 Telfort / KPN channel 233 shows ziggo F1. So all cheapos like me can choose between ziggo and German rtl
Psychadelic tires, Martin?
^^e
What is up with Grosjean and braking…
yeah, why has braking problems all the time? And nobody else.
He’s too sensitive for energy recovery – according to himself he outdrove Kimi before they got kers
Williamses continue to underachieve, seems like they have developed the car slower than it was beginning of the season.
Yep, waste of a good engine..
Interesting that VAN is at Singapore for first time, like Stroll. Really highlights the difference between these two.
To be fair, that Williams is quite a dog here.
Max is flying but will it be enough against the Q3 engine settings of the Ferrari and Mercedes
I’m loving seeing them battle with the limits against that wall in the 2nd to last corner. That’s the sort of thing F1 needs – it’s not dangerous having a wall there but everyone would be going wide if it was a big kerb. It would completely eliminate the challenge of that corner.
agreed. Great track for viewers.
What was up with Palmers time?
Karma
What a swing in the Championship this could be !
What happened? There is no TV here
Vettel P1, Hamilton P5
Vettel P1 Hamilton only P5
RAI disappointing, nothing new
I’m happy)) Pity kimi couldn’t beat the bulls. But he was close
hi guys
I predict that neither the 100% dry-session nor the 100% SC record will come to an end today.
i don’t mind either of those, as long as Seb keeps the winning from pole at Singapore record :D
I live about 20km from the cicuit and its pouring
*circuit. Omg i can’t type properly
I just read that the rain is expected to stop 15 minutes before the race. Does it seem to be easing off?
Yeah it has eased off already. Seems like it didn’t make it to the track yet. But lightning and thunder just started
Hello everyone and welcome to F1 Fanatic Live for round 14 of the 2017 world championship. We’ve got Vettel on pole, two racy Red Bulls behind him, and the prospect of some wet and slippery action in Singapore…
hey Keith, guys… Go Seb! :D
hello from Malaysia..raining here since afternoon, heard Singapore is wet..the track is damp, should be good

rain drops are visible in the pits..oooo this will be tricky
I think they’ll dry really quick with the heat. Should be slicks unless it gets a lot worse
Just seen the TV shots and it looks to be getting quite heavy
not really bro..we have the same weather here and especially at night it won’t dry out that fast..
Rain!? Wow
Hope it’s not a delayed or safety car start
this is F1 of course it will be both
Could be time to use those new wet standing start rules. F2 tried them at Monza.
This is like one in a lifetime, raining in a night rain…
*race
This is starting to look like we could see quite a few drivers pitting for inters (or even wets) at the end of the formation lap.
rain?! interesting. Guess Verstappen and Hamilton will be happy with that, Hulk perhaps too.
Not sure whether I missed it but the F1F Live link isn’t available on the main page
I couldn’t see it either.
me too. got link from dropdown list
It’s there now. Just arrived.
Can’t tell if it’s best to start onslicks or inters ?
Think it’s been a while since we saw drivers doing a standing start on full wets…
I wonder if there’s room offline to find the grippier sections we saw VER use in Brazil last year
Remember some teams had huge trouble getting the intermediates to warm up at Monza. Notably Renault, who sure enough have both drivers on full wets.
I expect chaos.
Enjoy the race everyone!
Oh my
What on earth was Raikkonen thinking.
it was all Max.
Max? What r u smoking this morning
Max steered right, Kimi stayed on straight line.
Vettel can take that one
Sorry Ferrari.
What the hell was that
Hulk P3!, but sadly thats the title race gone.
I thought VER squeezed RAI
Looked like it.
vettel!! hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Now Ricciardo vs Hamilton today
And again Ricciardo …
Congratulations on the championship, Hamilton!
Raikonen hits Max twice
What is he doing
Raikkonen’s fault 100% imo
can turn the tv off now, race over
With a wet track? Nope.
I think that would be very silly.
Bye.
wow how is alonso still in the race
Alonso would have been in P3, dammit.
Is Vettel out ?
Yup, title over.
Bit quick to so that ! It’s only lap 2 with 6 more races to go
yeah, major damage to radiator, would be amazed if he could continue
Crashstapen hits again. If he dont get race ban after this one I will not watch F1 this season anymore.Grosjean gets banned for same thing few season ago.
he got sandwiched… not sure it’s VES’ fault
Was vettels fault to be honest
lol, were you actually watching or just using bias to judge?
I was watching Seb close the gap pushing him into Kimi.
reply was towards @Slavisa
There is no way that is Verstappens fault, that’s delusional
Lol at the Vettel fans desperately trying to shift the blame.
Give Raikkonen a one race ban for causing an accident, putting the WDC contender out of the race :)
kimi went straight on. vettel went left to cover VES and caused the crash
What on earth was Vettel doing there, ruined the race :(
I just turned off the tele… I don’t want to watch F1 anymore.
Why
What is Verstappen doing?!? Will he ever learn?
Not sure what he could have done?
Try not to steer into Kimi would be one thing. Vettel to blame too.
Vettel steered into him, he couldnt make his car disappear into thin air!
… Dear God. Seriously, this is 0 on Raikonen.
that was a disaster (((
Verstappen need to be banned
I agree
For making a better start then Vettel? Try again.
Funny. Vettel has caused more lap 1 incidents than VER
It seemed to me that Raikkonen turned right into Verstappen
Vettel
That was Vettel
Kimi kept his line. Others drove at him
All Vettel!
Raikonen was actually AHEAD of Verstappen when the contact occured.
I don’t have video – half the people saying Raikkonen’s fault, half saying Verstappen’s – can somebody give an account of what happened in a detailed manner (was it just a racing incident between two popular drivers?)
Kimi got a good start off the line, went on the inside towards the pit wall. Verstappen got sandwiched between him and Vettel covering, hit the front wheel and got the two Ferraris together.
Vettel got a poor start and pinched both. All Vettel and he’s already apologised on the radio to the team acknowledging it. No Excuses, ALL VETTEL.
Rik took out ver, twice! Feel sorry for red bull
And on that note I don’t need to watch F1 until next year.
RIP Exciting championship.
Idiot Ferrari drivers, talk about Vettel throwing the race away. Max just stuck in a ‘red’ sandwich.
How can people not see kimi is 100% fault here.
He hands the wdc to Lewis
He kept his line. Vettel forced them across
Racing incident, it wasn’t just Kimi or Max’s fault.
Vettel squeezed, as Brundle said – not intentionally, but he didn’t realise VER had RAI on his inside.
Really zero on RAI, who is basically because he had a great start and VET/VER had terrible starts.
I noticed that Max made an early turn and “positioned” the car to go slowly towards Kimi and he went straight after that.. I have no idea if that’s a penalty but I think this is exactly what happened…
Want aerial view of the start. Hard to tell who punted who.
I wonder if Hamilton’s stopped laughing yet.
Bahahahahaha!!!!!
+1
My neighbours heard alot of noise
Lol I was thinking the same thing
Verstappen won’t be getting a call from Ferrari in 2018
His path to a WDC is troubled. Reliability and finishing issues even before Honda arrives in his car
No worry, he’ll be happy with Mercedes.
I bet Lewis woke up this morning thinking damage limitation……P1 after corner 1 lol
Vettel was actually trying to do exactly what Alonso did to him in 2010
Seb driving well across the track ! 100% his fault
Seriously… This is probably 60 on Vettel, 40 on Verstappen. Starting with the fact that both had terrible start and Raikonnen had a GREAT start.
Max even gave room to kimi
He kinda closed on RAI when Vettel closed on him, but he actually let RAI passed before the contact.
I dont know how you even consider Max at fault here.
Good start from Hamilton, left plenty of room as well cleanly into T1 staying away from Vettel. Great shot from Hamilton’s camera of Vettel spinning.
Feel sorry for Alonso, he was p3 before being hit
what will happen to Hulk to deny him his podium this time?
His ideal conditions as well
Vettel should have followed Lewis’ line… Lewis’ line had less water than his…
It seems as though he slipped on his own liquid from his radiators
There’s really good chance for Hulk to be at podium today.
its about time for a renault engine failure? :D
Would love to see that today
I’ve said that before, it always goes away.
At this rate we’ll be lucky to get 10 laps of actual racing.
Now does Hamilton just let Ricciardo get on with it and net a good 2nd place
that was the championship thrown away.. so sad
Calm down. It’s lap 4 ! Hamilton might not finish yet too. Then there’s another 6 races. My god F1 fans are too quick to write off Championships
We’ve seen this plenty of times before
Kimi’a right rear looked a little crooked
Alonso’s monkeyseat seems to be hanging under it.
If Ricciardo runs into Hamilton behind the Safety Car now…
then vettel will start laughing
Did rik jump the start?
How has no one noticed that VET would have hit RAI if VER backed out by another 1/2 car length. Racing incident but 100% VET with the late move across to the damn nest the wall.
It’s a tough call, Vettel to blame from my pov but could be seen as 3 cars going for same spot ( racing incident)
Since it is a wet race, we’ll probably see about 50-53 laps I think
Full wets are doing better job.
Palmer!! Nice move!
That’ll look funny in retrospect if they do fire him on Wednesday…
Checked the start again, must say that It’s not all kimi to blame. Vettel squeezed max as well. It was a Ferrari sandwich that took out Max
And their own wdc chance
Everybody is saying VER was sandwiched by RAI and VET. But there is something called brakes, right?
Bottas seems poor in the wet.
He’s on inters
As are Hamilton and Ricciardo.
No timing on Palmer?
All my favorite drivers bar Hulkenberg taken out – Alonso could have been p.3 – he could have been p.3! Too bad the collision took him out – it would have been one of the best races ever for me.
Palmer now driving to get in Williams….
He’d be a good commentator
Alonso could have gotten a podium
Hamilton and a Ricciardo on inters pulling away from rest on wets.
Lewis 4 sec
“Fernando we’ve lost data on the car. You’ll have to handle things out there and let us know how it goes” :D He’ll be happy then
2008 Singapore Ferrari Pitstop mistake give Ham world champion 2017 Singapore Ferrari crash might give Ham world champion…
Difference is, Ferrari’s number 1 caused this himself and just nuked his own chances.
Racing incident for sure, he couldn’t know where Rai
*Where Rai was
You’re dreaming, he already apologised to the team over the radio, he knows he caused that.
I doubt any other driver on the grid would have done it differently.
I’m no Vettel fan, for sure, or Ferrari, but I hate blaming drivers for trying to make a race. As the driver in question, I’ll treat him as a biased source!
2008 Ferraris dreadful performance in the wet British GP costs them the WDC
2017 Ferraris dreadful performance in the wet Singapore GP may cost them the championship.
Come on Hulk for a podium! How amazing would that be, 1 race before that unwanted record
Would be his first right?
Indeed. This race would give him the record for longest number of races since debut with no podium. Will be an amazing story if it happens and the car is looking good too.
Would be awesome
Shame he’s on the Full wets.
Safety car, its not over yet
Looks like the inter runners are now getting advantage over the full wet guys.
Looking forward to a VET interview
How many times do you think he’ll say “seriously?”
Any word of the T1 incident being investigated by the stewards?
after the race
126 new britain ave 2B
Should we send you pizza?
lol
Bottas absolutely nowhere. So shook at the start aswell, being passed by Palmer does not look good on your CV.
Average driver being average.
Have to agree.
Man it would have been funny if it wasn’t sad how bad that Mclaren/Honda is
Drivers out: Alonso, Vettel, Verstappen and Raikkonen
Most talented (average) retirement list ever?
Just in case, I meant the average talent and not the combined, not calling any of them average.
Just got diluted
Might be time for Ocon to try slicks now?
I was going to say I’m looking forward to 2018 now that 2017 fight is over, but then I remembered the halo.
id love to see a couple powerhouse teams threaten to boycott
Hulk to get his first podium
Kvyat out
Kvyat out.
Kvyat out
AH Safety car. :( Why don’t they use VSC anymore?
Everybody is saying VER was sandwiched by RAI and VET. But there is something called brakes, right?
He was entitled to space there
Steering too!
Which he used to try to make room for VET and we all know what happened there.
Ric on drys.
Nope, inters
Ham has to put no? Roc will be flying
Ric
Lucky for Kyvat that he Russian, that why he still racing
…STR (the driver, not the team) looks really legit in wet weather.
Hamiltons inters don’t look good !
WOAH!! I missed the first 20min of the race! What the hell? Those 2 yellow Renaults at the top look like the 2 Jordans in Spa 1998….
There was a little incident
A flesh wound
The world just turned upside down that’s all.
Welp. I’d rather see them fighting for P1, which may have happened with Vet, Rai and Ver… race can still be thrilling, a bit disappointed though :-(
Ricciardo may have just won this one
There goes Hulk podium
KVY crashing 20 seconds after he told his team to leave him alone = good wrap-up of KVY’s career.
Bahahahaha!!!!!
I though it was Sainz who wanted to be left alone
Actually, it was both.
Hahahaha
Renault facepalm
appalling strategy by renault
Think Red Bull have outsmarted Mercedes there.
Yeah Ricciardo should be flying at the restart
Never write off Hamilton on a wet track.
Worked very nicely for Ricciardo, free set of new inters.
Reminds me of 08 all over again…
Crashgate part deux?
Haha I doubt it. But it was a toro Rosso…
Are Mercedes thinking of a dry track real soon or something? Jeez
Typical hulk misses out by bad strategy again.
Not over yet
Will this race end before the 2 hour mark?
If a rainy Monaco manages to do that, this will race – SO FAR – should too.
no way.
Imagine if Vandoorne crashed today, bringing out a safety car, allowing Alonso to win the race. (And the best part would be that it was all coincidental)
Mate, Alonso retired a while ago
I know, it’s just a hypothetical situation.
Ah ok 😊
61 laps with Honda? I don’t think so.
Zak Brown thinks there may be more rain coming (on NBCSN)
NBCSN is showing some of the race along with the commercials?
I’m sorry I’m late but max needs parked for a go he is crazy on starts and dangerous. I’m done
Watch the replay
He came over on rik from what I saw
Order of blame = Order of grid
Yep!!!!
Max was the main victim. Got squeezed
True
Either way he always seems to be part of the issue I don’t like it lol
Max didn’t cause it
How does Vettels crash effect his engine component usage for the season?
would be something if Sainz gets 3rd then joins hulk who still doesn’t have a podium.
Given that we have had 2 safety cars, with the probability of more, and they are doing 120s laps, how many actual race laps will we get? 50?
this track ain’t gonna dry that fast..water in high humidity
Already dry at T1 but damp off line
lots of spray everywhere though..hard to overtake with that
Why did Williams leave MAS on full wet tires?
Smart by Ocon to let off
RIC on fresh tires can’t bring the fight. Sad.
But HAM will have to stop eventually
HAM is just plain better in wet conditions.
Why did Renault throw away track position?
Can’t believe people are blaming anyone other than Vettel for the start. Vettel caused the incident end of story. To argue anything else is to argue that drivers shouldn’t be allowed to race. Seriously people here are blaming Raikkonen and Verstappen for getting better starts than Vettel? May as well have rolling starts if that’s what you want lol
Raikkonen maybe is to blame after colliding with Verstappen for way he rejoined – if he had steering at that point, that is.
Interview coming up on NBCSN with VET….
Summary. Was hit by Max, race over, that’s racing…
I see it as a racing incident, I’d be surprised if Vettel could see anything behind him. He covered the line on pure instinct, it was the wrong choice but nothing dirty happened there.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying it wasn’t a racing incident but racing incident does not mean no ones fault. Look at all the space Vettel had and instead he squeezed two cars. maybe he couldn’t see Verstappen but he should have had enough self awareness to know that his bad start meant there was a very good chance Verstappen was along side.
Yep. Probably the same people saying he did nothing wrong in Baku.
K Mag is a scrapper man, same with Ocon
Looking forward to seeing them in top cars with Ves alongside them, the future of f1 is exciting!
People say F1 is in trouble but from my point of view, in Canada at least it’s never been more popular
both lewis and ric saying still wet..welcome to the equator, slicks? maybe really towards the end
Slightly surprised Ricciardo hasn’t made any inroads into Hamilton. Wondering if the drying track suits worn, slick-like Inters over new ones.
Or perhaps it is that Hamilton is just quite good in these semi wettish conditions.
Absolutely.
Danny Ric has to be the first to try slicks
If it comes down to it
Were they calling for rain bc I heard no talk of this this weekend?
Ya there was small chances of it, just the humidity brings it at unknown times
Bottas showing exactly why he isn’t even close to being a top driver
Yep
Yep.
Basing this on 21 laps of 1 race? He was about the same pace as Hamilton all of the previous race.
Mate he got embarrassingly overtaken by the worst driver on the grid (Palmer) and Lewis obviously turned his engine down at Monza.
Mercedes confirmed both had their engines turned down. Overall, Bottas has been pretty solid this season. Remember it is his first season with the team and it took Rosberg 4 years to beat Hamilton when he’s already been with the team a few year before Hamilton joined. Just because he got overtaken by Palmer doesn’t instantly mean he is rubbish.
The track drying very slowly because of the 16374638283626% humidity at SIN
that’s what i said..47 years living here i would know
K Mag absolutely flying
The way things are going we’ll probably hit 2 hours before 61 laps – looks like they might make lap 27 after the hour.
Wehrlein will be the first to test dry tyres? Nothing to lose…
Or Massa, might even get him somewhere near to fighting for points.
Good call
Nope, new intermediates it seems. Massa just pitted so I don’t think so.
Anyone know how many laps can be done on the Inters?
If you drve over dry, not much!
Lewis Hamilton parade for the rest of the race????
Just lost 1 sec. Tires going off?
Still 5 seconds ahead
seeing NBC through streaming. there cannot be any more ads than there.
Let’s not forget that the Red Bull was much quicker in the dry than the Mercedes
Looks like the calm before the storm, surely slicks will dictate this race depending on when they take them
A whole hour to go still, after all. But damp will hang around for a bit, it looks like.
Stop for slicks, get stuck in traffic and be unable to pass offline. Not an attractive idea.
yup..slicks and wet don’t mix
Yep. They’ll wait for a good while, and 28s pitstoptime means that it will be a while before even Hamilton could get out between Bottas and Sainz.
Mag pits, all eyes on his times!!!
anybody else see the drs open on the FI a few lap ago? Surely it’s deactivated while inters are on?
Grosjean ran wide at turn 4, nearly became a Kyvat.
Here we go!
HAM goes under 2 mins. Prepping for a stop?
Hammer time for slicks?
Not quite yet.
The pit exit is damped and the slicks are given a wet welcome to the track from the first second
Stroll pits
Pit the Red Bull, what is there to lose?
haha that pit exit is so wet..
MAG in the 2:00 minute range.
Sainz pits from P4. Here we go.
MAG FLAP
for a few seconds
Lots of drivers making switch to US
Riccardo in pits!
Too late
lewis beats mag time with inters
PALMER TO P2!!!
HAM pits
Hulk jumped Sainz.
MASSA FLAP
That was a very impressive stint on used inters from Hamilton.
True!
VAN FLAP. Has that been said before?
Ham-Ric gap dropping like a stone.
For sure it is, Danny needs to put his head down here
What data area you looking at? He’s still more than 8 seconds behind.
Last lap it was 9.4s
He was taking time off a few laps ago but Ham pulling away
Ham came out of pits at 13 sec up on Ric.
That lap was deceptive though, because his pit box is over the line, I think the 9.4 is realistic
So for the third year in a row we have Ricciardo in second place chasing the leader for the win…
Gap now stabilizing at 8.5 sec.
About the start, these guys need spotters like in NASCAR.
Didn’t B.A.R. do that for Sato at one point?
Lol
GRO FLAP. That was unexpected. Most drivers in race to set FLAP =?
I would guess at the Monaco where 3 cars finished or the Canada that But won
Shame about the championship battle but the midfield battles have been excellent
nice one lewis..1 sec on that lap
By my calculation, they will come around 3 laps short of a full race.
Come on Daniel, make this at least interesting!!!!
This is directed to the Americans here but am I the only one who misses having bob as the lead guy on tv?
Bob Varsha?
Yes
He is filling in this week
Moar Varsha please!!!
Yes.
I was please for the change. Variety is good. Nostalgic to have him back for a race here and there.
I like the extra sky coverage we get of the pit lane and
NBC really is trying to do their best for F1 it seems even with the ratings not be out of this world
Stroll needs to keep those Haas cars behind
Hamilton looking like he’s got Riccardo covered. Both seem to be pushing hard but gap stuck between 8-9 seconds
Safety car
Ericsson has Ericssoned!
He is useless
Safety Car
my only prediction coming true will be Ric’s 2nd place. Today is such a disappointing day. It was Vettel’s fault, in my opinion. Not in that he caused it, but that he should have anticipated any turn of events and be ready to cede a position, because points are more important.
he couldnt see what was happening at all. If anything if RIK would have got as good of a start it would never have happened bc the squeeze would not have been a big deal that happens at turn 1
And people complained at safety cars in IndyCar… smh
Safety car. Bunch ’em up Nascar style.
Poor Hulk.
why is he inP10?
Typical Hulk luck
sigh… hulk problems… i predict a retirement inc
I was hoping a Sauber would cause a safety car!
Well, now it’s clear that Hulk will take on the lead on statistics most GP’s without podiums.
Uh Lewis… You would be out of this world to say that should be a VSC…
ooh, Hulk
Pretty obvious that a real SC is needed for that.
Race to finish under safety car
VAN, STR might have some serious issues at the restart, as they were already slowing down before the SC. On the other hand, there might be only 5 “race” laps left, so…
Ferrari punishing their pit wall team by making them watch the rest of the race
Bahahahahaha!!!!!
HUL hydraulics refilled. Anything?
That wasn’t hydraulic fluid. Compressed air for the engine valves.
Ok. Leak?
2 second gap already HAM>RIC.
yeah. race is over.
The championship is over also
RB has nothing for the Merc on dry conditions?
Seems so, I wonder if conditions will come to Ric now, not much time left!
Daniel’s car should have some problems.. very strange to perform so poorly compared to their qualifying pace and long run pace
True, I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case, but Ham is mighty in that mercy in these conditions!
True, I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case, but Ham is mighty in that mercy in these conditions!
Wonder if RIC has minor damage from lap 1
Ricciardo flying
Very interesting radio message to Hamilton: He’s being told not to pull clear so the field don’t spread out which might allow someone (i.e. Ricciardo) to pit if the Safety Car comes out.
How do you hear the radios? Is there a site or app?
cool
It was broadcasted. Message should have gone to Bottas to pull his socks up.
And HAM says no thanks..
Champion’s luck for Mercedes, I think.
couldn’t agree anymore… but why ferrari still posting updates in their twitter… lol
PR and damage limitation, they may have a point you know, I am 50% that I saw contact between Kimi and Ves first. Still calling a racing incident, but it may be important to their fans to have a point to bicker over
indeed. VER touch RAI and then RAI crashed into VET.
Yeah huge slice of luck for them and Hamilton in particular, but my goodness he’s been on it today and made it count when he’s had the chance.
Interesting games at Merc, not sure why they’d chance it at this stage.
singapore too prone to SC
yeah, you could see why Pat Symonds and Flavio chose that arena to their games.
Yes but Hamilton has already made track position count all afternoon, I’d play it safe now.
Well, so far Palmer is keeping up a good act as 2nd driver for renault, taking points when the 1st driver somehow couldn’t.
Good for him, he can leave the sport with his head held high!
I would not be surprised if they were trying to get Hamilton to the finish line just as they reach the 2 hour limit, to save doing an extra lap
Hulk DNF, typical.
Palmer has had far more retirements relating to reliability than Hulkerberg. I don’t know what is typical about this.
Whenever Hulk is a chance of a podium he somehow loses it.
far out HULK has no luck….
12 cars left running
One more retirement sauber will be on point
No
I really expected Ricciardo to give Hamilton a harder time in that car in these conditions. Very impressed by Hamilton today.
Totally! Especially after what we saw in FP and Quali.
Hamilton really worked it today – including that first stint on the inters.
aww, Magnussen showed us some good racing today.
Palmer gets his best career finish on the weekend it becomes clear he is on his way out of F1????
Now he driving to get in Williams, but I want Kubica
I do t think there’s any question, Kubica’s an immense challenge and his story is marketable
*Immense talent!
Looks like only Sauber and Ferrari won’t score any points today
I really want to hear from Ricciardo why he couldn’t really do anything about the lead.
Off the racing line it looks damp in places, maybe that Red Bull can’t attack the track like they did in the first 2 days
a bit late ain’t cha bottas?
The biggest loser in this race is not Hulk, it the Ferrari…The biggest winner obviously Lewis
And the Mercedes
Ferrari or maybe Verstappen (and Raikkonen?), indeed – but not Vettel, because he really did it to himself I’d say.
why people keep saying that. he was in front of VER.
Hadn’t expected a new lap record after the rainy start!
Driver of the day: Jolyon Palmer
fantastic job Lewis..well done
What a race. Who would have guessed?
I have to check if I didn’t accidentily put in a prediction with HAM on top some weeks ago :p
Congrats Lewis, shout outs to Sainz and Palmer.
Would love to be a fly on the wall at Ferrari.
I can only imagine Vettel going on and on and Kimi getting bored.
Renault does not seem to handle their drivers with respect. Even in renault’s past incarnations.
formula1 live timing page shows Palmer as the winner…
Timing transponder glitch, LOL.
Keith tweeted a shot of it so it lives for ever
Lol
Wow what a race! Missed the first part was following on the app lots of wth moments.. Let the blame drama begin.. It’s going to be interesting post race.. Lucky Lewis great strategy! So sorry for Verstappen, wish there was a way to make up all these races for him poor thing! Congrats to Toro Rosso almost sounds like a win for them.
that thing with the official Ferrari twitter – FIA needs to play the ‘putting the sport into disrepute’ card there and give a very heavy penalty.
Vettel’s fault. My initial reaction was that it was Verstappen’s fault, and intially I also tought that they’d taken Ricciardo out rather than Alonso, but after the replays I conclude it to be Seb’s fault.
Thought.
A lot people said Verstappen will crash into Vettel before the race , But it was the other way round…
Alleged gearbox issues for Ricciardo, would explain how he struggled to challenge Mercedes today.
well, at least that’s an explanation for that then.
Hello everyone and welcome to F1 Fanatic Live for the Singapore Grand Prix weekend!
good morning! Keith, the link from the main menu takes to the archive page for the Belgian GP sessions
Ah thanks will get onto that.
When they have the daytime sessions you can see why they run the race at night. It doesn’t look anywhere near as good.
Gelael is out on track and that’s all the pretext I need to share this video of him rapping with Giovinazzi for anyone who’s not seen it already…
https://www.racefans.net/groups/formula-three/forum/topic/video-gelael-and-giovinazzi-rapping/
He’s good!
Any announcements expected today?
Nah can’t think of anything significant…
is Giovanazzi driving Magnussen’s car? I have no tv feed
Yes.
There were reports that Renault tried to sign Ricciardo.
Source?
https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/131806/renault-made-bid-to-sign-ricciardo-for-2018
It could off course be that it was a bit of overasking to get Sainz in the end.
Looks like it is slippery for everyone though.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5ttQAQMpB0&feature=youtu.be
Main Halo problem
What’s the problem?
I guess the implication is that a driver has to make more steps to get out of the car…
given that it is maybe the second or third time Vandoorne does this, and the current ones aren’t load baring as such, that footage is pretty much irrelevant
Finally a decent lap from Seb
Who’s going to be in the Williams seat next year? Sky is selling D’Resta… But I like Kubica.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zSZEuo8_5s&feature=youtu.be
Classic…
ahhaha, “no, please, no” )))
so, how much faster were they this year in FP1?
about 3 seconds
Thanks as always for joining in guys, here’s the session report:
https://www.racefans.net/2017/09/15/ricciardo-breaks-track-record-first-practice/
See the ‘live timing’ menu above.
f1.tfeed.net/live
Wow this is nerdy
Very nice!
Thank you both @keithcollantine @njoydesign
Thanks for joining in guys, here’s the second practice session report:
https://www.racefans.net/2017/09/15/ricciardo-stays-ahead-as-vettel-slips-up/
were are practice times ? can”t find anymore.
Thanks Keith just saw your link. lol
Hello All! :)
Good evening everyone
Another 2015 for Mercedes ?
Red flag Ericsson into the wall
Seems the track is dirty as the times are 2 seconds above yesterday?
Track temperatures are also still higher compared to FP2
Big boys coming alive a bit here, but Mercedes up against it it seems.
Alonso in P4 👀
Again a technical issue for max
Sure
No that is the new feature automatic gears…
Oops
Marcus Ericsson Singapore Crash Red Flag
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGK7h2pzvQw&feature=youtu.be
looks like I was getting depressed too early after seeing FPs 1 and 2.
Shout out to the dutch 🇳🇱
Telfort / KPN channel 233 shows ziggo F1.

You’ll have to handle things out there and let us know how it goes” :D He’ll be happy then
2008 Singapore Ferrari Pitstop mistake give Ham world champion
2017 Singapore Ferrari crash might give Ham world champion…
126 new britain ave
2B
Impressed with K Mag right now
Yeah!!!!
Here’s three new video angles from fans of the first-lap crash: https://www.racefans.net/2017/09/17/new-videos-show-fans-views-first-lap-carnage-singapore/
both lewis and ric saying still wet..welcome to the equator, slicks? maybe really towards the end

Alleged gearbox issues for Ricciardo, would explain how he struggled to challenge Mercedes today.
well, at least that’s an explanation for that then.
thanks keith and mods..see you guys soon
thank you Keith and mods
Thanks as always for joining in guys – give your verdict on the race here: https://www.racefans.net/2017/09/17/rate-race-2017-singapore-grand-prix/
Vettel causing chaos and getting away with it yet again.
Is he ever going to be penalised for his horrendous driving?
