Romain Grosjean leapt from third to first at the start of the Brands Hatch F3 Euroseries race – but took out rival Franck Mailleux on the way. The two Frenchmen collided as Grosjean moved to take the lead from James Jakes. Grosjean was able to complete the move before the safety car came out. Marko Asmer won the second British F3 race at Snetterton commandingly from pole position. It was as if his disappointing first race performance hadn’t even happened. Alberto Valerio and Sam Bird were second and third in a reversal of their finishes in the first race, after Valerio sliced past Bird on lap seven. Bird dropped … Continue reading British F3 Snetterton 2: Asmer back to the front
Niall Breen headed a Carlin 1-2-3 in the seventh round of the British F3 championship at Snetterton. Team mates Sam Bird and Alberto Valerio followed him home. Bird leapt up the field with a magnificent start put pole sitter Atte Mustonen had a terrible getaway and was swamped by the field. He eventually retired with … Continue reading British F3 Snetterton 1: Breen leads Carlin podium
Pastor Maldonado repeated his Monaco Renault World Series race win of 2006 in this year’s GP2 race. The Venezuelan comfortably took pole from Giorgio Pantano by 0.3s and led the Italian home in the race as well. Behind them came the championship top three – Timo Glock, Luca Fillipi and Lucas di Grassi.
Marko Asmer will race in the British F3 championship round at Bucharest this weekend instead of the clashing race in the Japanese F3 series which he also participates in. Asmer currently leads the British championship with 76 points and three wins from four races. In Japan he lies sixth with 22 points to leader Kazuya … Continue reading Asmer chooses British F3 round over Japanese

Marko Asmer won the second race at Oulton Park – but only after the race had to be re-started twice following multiple crashes. As a consequence he will miss the third … Continue reading British F3 ready to go
