Goodwood Festival of Speed 2010 to celebrate 60 years of F1 (Pictures)
The 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed will celebrate 60 years of the F1 world championship with at least five current teams in attendance.
Champions Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton will both be present for McLaren as will reigning constructors’ champions Mercedes.
Ferrari, Red Bull and Williams will also have cars at this year’s Festival.
Ten must-watch races of 2010 (Video)
We’re all F1 fanatics here but even with a biggest-ever calendar of 19 races this year that still leaves 33 F1-free weekends.
So what’s the other must-see racing action in 2010 this year? Here’s my top ten picks – name yours below.
Non-F1 cars at the Goodwood Festival
By popular demand, I’ve put together a small selection of pictures of non-F1 cars that I took at Goodwood.
The collection includes rally cars, sports cars, supercars and more.
My top 40 pictures from the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2009
I snapped over 3,600 photographs at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend.
I managed to get some close-ups of the drivers and lots of pictures of weird and wonderful cars in action and on display. Here are my 40 favourites from the weekend in high resolution:
Goodwood Festival: Saturday round-up
I spent the first day at the Goodwood Festival of Speed running around taking tons of pictures.
Today I snapped a few more, but I also had a lot more time to talk to people and soak up the atmosphere.
F1 cars, pre-1980 (Goodwood Festival of Speed 2009 pictures)
The collection of early Grand Prix cars on show at Goodwood this year features some real classics. It includes a Maserati 250F in an uncharacteristic blue livery.
Plus an ex-Gilles Villeneuve Ferrari 312T3 and the Matra-Cosworth MS10 in which Jackie Stewart famously won at the Nürburgring in heavy rain by over four minutes.

Williams F1 cars collection (Goodwood Festival of Speed 2009 pictures)
Forty years ago, Frank Williams made his start in Grand Prix racing, entering Piers Courage in a customer Brabham. After several years fielding customer cars by the likes of De Tomaso and March, Williams eventually became a constructor.
That took them to championship glory, first with Alan Jones in 1980, and most regularly in the mid-1990s [...]
Mercedes and Auto Union Silver Arrows (Goodwood Festival of Speed pictures)
Among the anniversaries being marked at the Goodwood Festival of Speed is 75 years of the German ’silver arrows’. This name was first applied to the cars raced by Auto Union (fore-runner of the modern Audi) and Mercedes-Benz from 1934.
Former Red Bull driver David Coulthard is among the contemporary F1 drivers piloting the cars, and [...]
F1 cars, post-1980 (Goodwood Festival of Speed pictures)
I’m at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend – here’s my first batch of photographs of F1 cars.
This set includes the 1988 McLaren-Honda MP4/4 (ex-Ayrton Senna), an ex-Michele Alboreto Ferrari and the gorgeous Benetton-Ford B188. Plus, several cars from the 2008 F1 season.
