Mark Webber will drive for Red Bull having extended his contract with the team for 2011. He will continue to partner Sebastian Vettel, who already has a contract with the team for 2011, despite the pair differing over their collision in the Turkish Grand Prix last week.
Lola have followed Prodrive’s lead by saying they are not applying to enter an F1 team in 2011. Lola was another of the teams that submitted an entry for 2010 but was turned down in favour of other entries. They later displayed a model of the 2010 F1 car they had designed.
Prodrive is not applying to be the 13th team in F1 in 2011, despite having made several attempts to join in recent years. A statement issued by the team said it is focussing on competing in the World Rally Championship and sportscar racing in 2011.
The FIA will try to fill the vacant place on the grid left by US F1 next year.
