I actually just got into F1 recently and find it fascinating, but it’s a hard sport to just jump into. All the resources that I’ve found are very technical and confusing for someone who’s just trying to understand what’s going on.
Do you know where I could find an introduction to the sport?
Tell you what Rei why don’t you email me a list of questions and I’ll update this list? Use the contact form here. Thanks!
Hi Keith
I’ve been reading your blog since a couple of years, but I’ve just moved to london from overseas. Is there any event or meeting for f1fanatic bloggers in london? have you ever done something like that?
thanks and congratulation for the blog
Hey folks. Can you look at updating these links to exact web pages to watch online. It would be great if those sites also show the practices and race. Maybe we can ask other fans to post websites they have found here. Thanks for great site.

Hello. I’d like to find information about the safety cars and its drivers from the past – since it’s beginning. I know that the first one was in 1973, Canada, and it was a Porsche 914, but I can’t find any more. Can anybody help me, please?
Hi Lacy – There’s details on some of the safety and medical cars used since 1996 here:

It’s easy to view the race live in ITV from outside the UK. Just use a British Web Proxy to access the site. Possibly not legal, but works fine.
Just found
http://stream.ra1kkonen.com/
for live F1 action – seems to work well here in OZ
When will the F1 2009 season British GP tickets go on sale?

Just saw the picture of the 2009 williams at its first shakedown……..
I suppose next season we can call it.. Diet Formula 1!!
I’m sure they will grow on us, but that front wing looks so flimsy.
And they say that the driver can only adjust the wing twice in one lap is that correct?
How will they stop them from adjusting it 10 times if he wants to???
As i said I’d say we’ll get used to it, but as long as the racing is close and the grid is mixed up a bit more, I think the changes will be better in the long run.
And what about KERS??
I’ve heard in the news recently that some teams KERS systems wont be ready?
So does that mean some will have an advantage over others??
One last question. I know its only been a couple of weeks since the season finished but is anyone suffering withdrawal symptoms yet??
My sundays are so boring now!!!
where can i find out which car and race an inspection cover was used
Hi,
Anyone know where I can find copies of the GP stewards reports?
Does anyone know how the money is distributed in F1, who pays what and to whom?
I understand that the circuit pays F1, Bernie Eclestone, for the F1 circus to come to town and they presumably get their money from the punters and the trade stalls but do the teams get appearance money or do they pay F1 also, if so how is the cake split up and why?
Can anyone please tell me on which satellite TV stations I can watch 2009 F1 races live (in English) in the Middle East (Dubai actually)?
Thanks
Hi all, I am participating in a F1 competition, can somebody help me with the following?
1. Who waves the Chequered Flag at the end of a Formula 1 race?
Clerk of the Course
Race Director
The three Stewards of the event
Any of the above
2. Formula 1 car tires are inflated with:
Air
Nitrogen rich gases
Hydrogen
Oxygen
3. What was Toyota’s position at Malaysian Grand Prix.
2 & 3
3 & 4
4 & 5
None of the above
4. Number of laps in Bahrian GP.
52
57
54
50
5. Why is a Formula 1 car likened to a Kart?
Because it has no brakes
Because it has no gears
Because it has no clutch and the driver uses only two pedals
Both a and b
Question 5 is C. Karts usually do not have gear and although F1 cars do have gears they are operated but by paddle shift transmission therefore bypassing a clutch and hence only having the other two pedals (The accelerator and the brake)
I think I’m a bit late, but still..Bahrain has 57 laps, and Toyota was 3rd and 4th in Malaysia.
Can a F1 Team compete with only one car? I don’t mean if one of the two cars crash or is not able to compete, but rather a team only uses one car for the championship? And if not, can a team simply register two cars and then just put the minimum effort and money required to reach the standards of the F1 regulations and focus purely on 1 car?
is it that ferrari won the construction team last year they get the first garage on the pit lane, I assumed Mclaren who’s driver won the championship would get the first garsge.
Love watching F1 but don’t really know much about it, I did think that lots of penalties to other drivers seem to help ferrari last season, any one else notice or is that just me, feeling some penalties appear slightly unfair..

How well has Rubens performed at Interlagos over his F1 career? Strikes me its been a bit of a jinx track for him.
Sebring Mike
if and when was the last time that 2 ex world champions
drove for the same team, in a season
I am interested in the engines used in formula one. I want the technical stuff like number of main bearings and design of pistons and all the internals that can’t be seen. Any help would be appreciated.
On FIA season reviews they have some awesome camera angles that are not shown on BBC.
Any streams or satellite channels that show these premium shots, Ive heard german channels often have these premium feeds?
