Piquet owed him no loyalty after the way he was treated, and it virtually finished him in F1 anyway.
In my view the really nasty bit was not getting Piquet to crash, it was his attempts to stifle the truth. Thinking no one else could afford to break ranks, he was reported to have started libel and blackmail proceedings which would have ruined the Piquets. Uggh

If its true u cheated–not good- but u must have ur reason! which ever the case is ——we all have our ups and downs——so get back on track—F1 needs its colour—–F1 needs the likes of Flav….

Hey Rocky: Flavio did what he had to do to save Renault from dropping out of F1 and thus save 700 jobs. The crash the PK have was a simple oversteer spin….racers can do that anytime of the day and do it easily. PK crashed about 25 times so far so he knew how to do it and he did a good jog. Too bad he got bad advice from his dad because what company can entrust a traitor with secrets? Flavio is a billionaire and doesn’t need F1. PK needs F1 but has ended his racing career – unless he wants to race karts.
So, are you trying to tell the world you have never ever done anything even slightly under the table?
