They will continue to run the Golf in the S2000 class and they’re hoping to retain Ollie Jackson.

SHame they say they’ll be running the 5 door and not the 3 door. I still think 5 door touring cars look really odd.

@keithcollantine The Astra is hardly a supermini though. It can’t be far off the size that the Vectra used to be, and the Insignia is huge!

It would be silly to race the Corsa, certainly, but not the Astra.

Everything seems to have happened since I was last online, just moved house! I’m a tiny bit disappointed about the Astra, I would’ve preferred a different brand in the championship (preferably SEAT as I have one on order!). Still I hope it works out better than the Insignia.

I prefer saloons to hatchbacks in BTCC.
I wonder if the BMWs will be the saloon or hatch version?

good number of teams signing up for this season and some from last year not yet confirmed (though ES racing aren’t a loss if they do go)

The new BMWs will be hatches (there isn’t a saloon version of the 1 Series). There are going to be a good mix of NGTC hatches and saloons in 2013 though.
