    Sam Tordoff has been confirmed in the second MG seat. He has previously participated in one BTCC event, the Brands Hatch Indy round in 2010 when he drove for Triple 8. He had a best finish of 10th in the third race.

    Howard Fuller will share the second VW CC with Robb Holland. Fuller will do rounds 1-5 then Holland will take over for 6-7 and then hand back the car to Fuller for 8-10.

    Paul O’Neill has announced via Twitter that he won’t be in the second Speedworks car due to insufficient funds.

    Liam Griffin has performed something of a u-turn and will race for Motorbase in the Jack Sears Trophy for S2000 machinery, driving the old Ford Focus.

    Glad Wood looks like he’s returning in a NGTC car, wouldn’t want him wasting a limited budget running the S2000 Vectra for this season.

    Liam Griffin im not so fussed about although his hair does rival Steve Ryders!

    David Addison will replace Toby Moody this year as ITV4′s BTCC commentator, once again joined by Tim Harvey. It seems he knows his touring cars very well thankfully.

    I dont get the hate for Moody, he was a bit dopey but not every commentator is perfect.

    though as usual I’ll only be watching half the events on TV so wont affect me too much. oh and the DVD…

    Welch Motorsport will run an S2000 Ford Focus for David Nye in the Jack Sears Trophy. Apparently they have built a second NGTC Proton as well which could race if anyone is interested.

    On a serious note there was talk of a second Proton last season, Craig Dolby was linked to the car at one point.
